If you're into sound mixing, podcasting, video/\s/editing, radio or recording studios, or any/\s/ environment where you need accurate sound, the/\s/7506s for less than 100 are a must have. There/\s/ is a reason why the 7506s have become and still/\s/are the industry standard used and recognized/\s/ all over the world

 Highs are crystal clear/\s/ allowing for the smallest details in vocals to/\s/come through or sounds like for example, glass/\s/ breaking to sound incredibly true to life. The/\s/mids are clean and well separated from the highs/\s/ and lows. In terms of lows, the 7506s provide a real/\s/kick with deep and punchy bass. Crucially, while not/\s/ overpowering the other frequencies, I'm pleased to/\s/say that the highs, mids, and low frequencies are/\s/ all very clearly separated and equally present/\s/what this allows for is very strong instrument/\s/ separation when listening to audio tracks

And then I play it back through an objective DAC and an O2 objective amp running through a Mac that is placed on headphones right over top of these ears. And I clamp them on there nice and tight so that the, so that they're, they're not leaking sound

 And so in many cases, if you're new to voiceover, if you're working on your own YouTube, you're working on your own podcast, chances are you're not necessarily, you're going to be both the talent and the director and the producer and the mixer and the mastering. You're going to be doing all of those things. So you want to make the best possible decision based on what you're hearing through your monitors and through your headphones. So the reason I started with the MDR 7506 is because you see them literally everywhere

 And then I play it back through an objective DAC and an O2 objective amp running through a Mac that is placed on headphones right over top of these ears. And I clamp them on there nice and tight so that the, so that they're, they're not leaking sound. So I'm trying to come up with the most neutral possible setup I can so that you get the truthful recording of the way the microphone sounds.  You won't necessarily see them like in the highest end studios, they'll be using much more premium things in this. But I've seen sound engineers, I've been to studios where the engineers are wearing these. I've been filming, not filming, recording commercials where the other person who's recording me is listening on these. I've listened on these when I've recorded in studios

Do I really need to get out the soldering-iron again?

  I had a pair of orig V6s back in the day and they eventually broke at the slider mount for the earpiece when I sat on them. These are prolly weak in the same way. Should otherwise be durable and long lived.

  Like any reference-class AV device, these are notable for nuanced reproduction and for not calling attention to any aspect of performance. It's all there, but it doesn't make you go wow. It's just very good sound.  Recommend

 Nevertheless, I'm still happy with the design. They are comfortable on my large head, and the cord is just the right length and looseness for me.

 They fit pretty well and require no breaking in. And they have been the same affordable price for decades.  Each pair I've gotten has sounded slightly different, and yet, they're all pretty much the same. The sound is clear and very "standard"

  The first two headsets I tried were earbud headsets. One set (Shure e2c) accomplished sound-isolation via earbuds composed of foam earplugs. Another set (from Phillips) used active noise cancellation. Both worked pretty well, the Shure being the standout for sound quality, but earbuds have a few fundamental problems

 They do a great job of filtering out background noise. I sometimes wear them alone (no music) just to muddle down the noise in the office and on airplanes. They work just well enough - better than nothing but not as isolating as foam earplugs (and certainly more comfortable).  Good sound isolation sets the stage for good sound reproduction

  I know Sony has made a successor to these headphones, and from what I've read, the sound quality on the newer headphones is not as well balanced. I hope Sony continues to manufacture these, as they are a very nice, high quality product. Why mess with perfection?  I often seriously consider buying another set for home or as a backup to my set at the office.  Highly recommended

 All, for the price, these are good headphones. The quality seems good not amazing, but plenty for what I need. They might not be the greatest for music, but honestly I haven't tested them too much with music.

 The one complaint I would have is the comfort. They are fairly light and if you were to use them for maybe a few hours a day, they would probably be fine. But I often wear these for 10 to 12 hours per day and they do start to hurt my head and ears a bit after about maybe 5 to 6 hours. I have to move them around a little bit so that the pressure is at different points

Good sound with fair comfort

  So I can't give a great review since I am lacking in knowledge regarding sound equipment so my opinion would be amateurish at best.  However, it is hard to beat the price for a good headphone like this.

It is very comfortable to wear, even after watching a movie for 2 1/2 hours, my ears does not feel uncomfortable.  It is a perfect size for me.  The sound quality is good, however, I don't know if it is my connector, but when I test it by turning the volume off, I could hear some buzzing sound.  Or went the volume gets too high, there are cracking sound
