 With an integrated class D amplifier good for 125 watts into 8 ohms, this will drive almost every speaker you plug it into. I can think of very few that this will not be sufficient for. And another great point about the amp in this unit, it's been measured and tested and shown that even at its price point, it performs exceptionally well, even more so than things that cost twice as much. Sonos Amp Review

 Can get decently loud (shrill) with my Sonus Faber Sonetto 1s. Definitely benefits from a subwoofer because the speakers can actually do far more with a higher current amp. With this amp, you just won't get the slam without a sub.  It's ok for now but I can see myself upgrading to a Hegel, NAD or Peachtree

 This is an obvious money grab. You HAVE to get a connect if you wanted to run your own power amp, even though it would have cost pennies for sonos to add a digital output..

..  Another star off for not being able to export/backup my playlists. This is a feature request that has been ignored by sonos for years on their community forums

 It's everything sonos isn't. I'll be selling the sonos and not looking back. I think I get far more for my money with the NAD, despite the higher price bracket.

It's... Convenient and clean sounding. Not very punchy at 4ohms. Compromised.

 Although it has a ton of features, it is quite expensive. But I will say if you're able to go and pick these up on the used market, which they hold their value really well. So even still, they will be expensive, but not six hundred and forty nine dollars expensive. So if you can happen to go out and pick them up on the used market, then I actually do think that these are a fully functioning, perfect solution for pretty much any scenario you've got

 And it is built in a way that it is one you talk. So if you're somebody who has a lot of equipment in a network rack, then this fits within one you, which is amazing and great. And it's actually nine inches by width and length, meaning that you can put two of these side by side as well in a you and not run out of space, which is something that Sonos listen to their customers about and made specifically due to the customer's requests on the back here. You've got your power in

 What's also nice is that the amp comes with a phantom centre channel on board so for instance if you had a pair of in wall or bookshelf speakers either side of your TV the amp will take parts of the left and right audio and balance this out in the centre so you get the feeling the sound is coming from the centre as well as the left and right. So in the box you're provided with the amp itself, the mains power plug, setup guides and banana plugs for connecting speakers.  If we look at the back of the amp you've got your mains power connection here and the join button for connecting to your WiFi wirelessly which we see on other Sonos speakers. The binding posts for connecting up to your speakers are here and Sonos actually supply banana plugs in the box so the wire can be fed through the hole on the banana plug and then just slotted into the respective channel on the amp to create a stereo pair. You've also got a very useful lining for connecting other audio components such as a turntable or CD player that you'd like to integrate into your Sonos system at the same time. What's great is that not only does it automatically detect your line in source when it's active but once you've established that line in connection with your audio component you can then share that audio around your home to other Sonos speakers wirelessly

 This pedal dropped this week, and the first thing that struck me when I unboxed it was right here on the label. It doesn't say amp sim, it doesn't say IR loader, it literally says on the front, amp and IR cab. That's a pretty bold claim. Now, in today's video, we're going to put the Iridium through its paces, show you some of the different sounds that it's capable of

 But that's it. This thing's pretty simple. So I've been living with the Iridium for almost two weeks at this point, and I've played it every single day since unboxing it about two weeks ago. My initial thoughts are, it sounds really good

 So basically this is three amps with three different cabinets for each amp. You have a Fender Deluxe Reverb, a Vox AC30, and a Marshall Plexi. And there's three individual slots for each one of those amps where you can load IRs onto or impulse responses, which are basically models of specific speaker and cabinet combinations. Now when they released the pedal, they also released some software to go with it to manage your impulse responses

 That's a pretty bold claim. Now, in today's video, we're going to put the Iridium through its paces, show you some of the different sounds that it's capable of. I'm going to tell you what I like about it, what I don't like about it. Also compare it to one of its most popular competitors and hopefully answer the question, should you buy one

at least freeing up space for a second favorite button.  2. The reverb to me is just horrible. Needs a complete re-work for live use imho

 However, just like a real amp, fronted with a Timmy (volume 100%, gain 0%) on the Marshall setting this little wonder sounds phenomenal and goes easily into metal territory. Cleans up decently (but not as much as I would like) with the guitar's volume knob. Sounds good with IEMS, and sounds even better into a PA speaker (or into my case, a Headrush 108 floor wedge). Clean and edge of clean tones on the Fender channel are excellent

Great amp/cab sim in one. It's def for people that want to use their pedals and not totally change over to processors.  I normally use a tube amp with a 4x12 cab but due to a broken back this year I'm going direct into an insanely loud Headrush FRFR108 speaker that weights 19lbs. This will keep up with a metal drummer

  I'd be quick to jump ship if I could go to another amp/cab IR pedal that offered more of what I wanted for high gain. Would like to see Neural DSP offer the same thing without having to buy an entire processor (quad cortex).

  I use a boss SD1 overdriver with the volume on that up all the way, eq to taste and the driver all the way down and it tightens the Strymon Marshall and Strymon Vox settings. I also went in and changed the Cab IR's to get me what I was looking for.  My favorite setting is the Marshall on the stock Cab A setting with my SD1 fed into my Headrush FRFR 108 speaker. It sounds good, not perfect but really good

Great but overpriced

 Fender deluxe, vox in ac30, and Marshall plexi all shine thru with wide dynamics for adjustment. So you’re wondering why not 5 stars? Because the “Room” effect needed to be a spring reverb, this knob is useless, I leave it off. I shouldn’t have to go to YouTube to get an explanation about a new pedal. The manual lacks data, and offers poor guidance to what the knobs and switches mean and do
