With this tent, the unique external pole design is easier and faster to set up than traditional tents, and the tent is very stable and sturdy with a roomy design. I want bug protection and rain protection because I don't like bugs (f ticks) and sleeping out gives me the creeps sometimes, so not really into the tarp and bivy. It seems to me like the Zpacks Duplex (occasionally bring my wife or a friend) would be a good option, being 19oz and having bug and rain protection integrated (not a tarp or bivy system, so it's simpler i.e. one piece)
