Bought from here as I have a store 2 miles from my house and I can take it there if any problems arise. I was going to get the vitus zenium but this was the same price and has better specs but an aluminum rather than carbon frame.

I live about 12 miles away from the mosque and 10 miles from my work. I will be cycling at 5AM to work and back at 2PM. Then to the mosque for Isha prayers and back home. I would also like t start doing some long rides of 50+ miles as there is a bike club locally and they regularly do long rides. I think the longest I have seen is 105 miles to the lake district and 105 miles return. Would this bike be suitable?

I just bought got this Canondale for £1099 - Did I get a good deal or get ripped off?

 I've got a little link to them in the video description, otherwise you'd have to use a non-series caliper. I've actually done this on a previous build and again, the difference I don't think there really is a difference is just the overall shape of the caliper, so that shouldn't put you off beyond weight and a very slight difference in feel. There is now very, very little that separates 105 from Ultegra. Likewise, if you are a chronic weight weaning, it's possible that Ultegra may make a more compelling option for you

 First off, we have my All City Mr. Pink. Now, Although that didn't have a Shimano crank set, I used the majority of the group set on that bike. It was quite interesting to see how it worked with components from other manufacturers

 There is now very, very little that separates 105 from Ultegra. Likewise, if you are a chronic weight weaning, it's possible that Ultegra may make a more compelling option for you. It is a fool's errand trying to determine a complete group set weight. For any group set, there's so many variables that make enough of a difference to matter, but in a comparable spec to a standard 105 group set I worked out on average you'll save about 310 grams

 That's not a lot of weight. You could so easily lose that from other parts of your bike with a much less outlay, and like the rest of us, I could do with losing it myself. Likewise, in terms of cost, it's really, really hard to make a comparison between the two, But at the time of writing, if you're comparing a 105 rim break group set to an Integra Room break group set, you probably spend about 160 pounds more at street pricing. Again, refer to your preferred retailer for actual pricing, but that gives you a rough estimate of what you're looking at

. And Actually, when I say the old 105 and old Ultegra were separated by 370 grams, then you'll see that it's some pretty good news that the gap between the two is coming down. Now In performance terms, it's pretty hard to compare this to Ultegra and Dura Ace but we are gonna give it a try. We've got a video coming out shortly which is 105 versus Dura Ace

 So it's called R7025, as opposed to R7020. Remember that I'll be testing you on it later on. Now On it, the lever blade has actually been angled closer towards the handlebars, bringing it in by that four millimeters. Shimano say

 Now What about that all important weight then?? Well We haven't put our a particular groupset on the scales, but apparently all in a 105 groupset is 2,489 grams. Which probably doesn't tell you a great deal, but if I put into context and say that Ultegra is just a 174 grams lighter, then you'll see that there isn't much of a difference there at all.. And Actually, when I say the old 105 and old Ultegra were separated by 370 grams, then you'll see that it's some pretty good news that the gap between the two is coming down

 So What that would mean is you could drop you saddle ever so slightly, putting you weight lower on the bike, which is excellent for fun cornering.. Now What about that all important weight then?? Well We haven't put our a particular groupset on the scales, but apparently all in a 105 groupset is 2,489 grams. Which probably doesn't tell you a great deal, but if I put into context and say that Ultegra is just a 174 grams lighter, then you'll see that there isn't much of a difference there at all

 And although that doesn't change the performance of the groupset, what it does do is allow bike manufacturers to actually design their frames a little bit differently. You Can have shorter chainstays, which you wouldn't want on every bike, but you would want on really nice, racy, snappy feeling bikes. Now Whilst we're sticking with chainrings, I Did notice that the big ring here is really beefed up with loads of kind of supporting fins on the inside. Because I Guess a stiffer front chainring is a good thing, particularly for crisp, smooth shifts

New Shimano 105 Groupset - Detailed & Demoed

 For comparison, Dual Race retails for three thousand pounds, but actually cost closer to two thousand pounds. Old Tegra meanwhile, retails for eleven hundred pounds, but cost closer to eight hundred pounds. So Dual Race is clearly in another league, but the price gap between Old Tegra and 105 is very, very close close enough. that might be tricky to justify the extra money when it comes to buying a bike with 105, which is most likely for people watching the video

 These here are the hydraulic disc brakes and the fact they've got the hydraulic gubbins and the mechanical shifting components inside such more hoods. And you don't Because you get all the performance of old Tegra and Druids. The hydraulic disc brakes on this one of five group sets are excellent with plenty of power and control. You get the same flat mount calipers, but these are painted rather than and dies on Old Tegra and Jurors and the leader feel is almost the same

 This latest version, R7000 was launched in 2018 and inherits pretty much all the technology first introduced on Dual Race and Integra, but at a fraction of the cost. It retails for 799 pounds for disc brake group sets I'm featuring here, but a shop around and you can find it for much, much less as little as 600 pounds in some places. For comparison, Dual Race retails for three thousand pounds, but actually cost closer to two thousand pounds. Old Tegra meanwhile, retails for eleven hundred pounds, but cost closer to eight hundred pounds

There is one small difference though, it's called a survey wave, a technology borrowed from their mountain bike division which creates a non-linear lever travel. put simply, when you first pull a brake lever, the pads move much more quickly and get closer to a disc brake rotor, which gives you more control over the final phase of the pads moving in contact with the disc brake rotor

Best part about SRAM Eagle is that all the components work with each other. So you can always upgrade to NX, GX X01 or XX1 whenever you want piece by piece.  It’s all swappable.

So I have this bike on order. I'm definitely not a component expert by any means, but after some research I have determined that this set is bottom of the barrel with some really bad reviews. I even saw this set on a 2020  $1200  GIant Talon 29.

This bike isn't cheap, $3400CDN plus tax and shipping. And this is my first full suspension bike.

I know new bikes are covered under warranty, but am I overreacting?

Confused with Giant Trance X 29 3 components. SRAM SX Eagle

All SRAM Eagle parts are compatible so you can run a NX derailleur with a GX cassette and SX chain for example. If you want to keep the repair price down, go for another NX derailleur but if you see yourself upgrading your drivetrain in the near future, I would suggest getting the GX 1x11 derailleur now as it will last you longer and it's one last thing to upgrade when you're ready to upgrade the cassette.

Due to my rear derailleur crapping out on me, I'm in need of a new one. The issue is I'm not very well versed in bike parts, and tried doing reasearch over the last few weeks but it just gave me hella headeache &gt;.&gt; Hopefully one of you beatuiful humans has the answer/advice.

my real derailleur is a SRAM NX 1x11 and I can either buy a new one, or upgrade to something better. My headache comes from trying to figure out part compatibility. I can either spend around 70 bucks where I'm at for the NX derailleur or get a GX for about twice that. However if I can't figure out if all my NX parts are compatible with GX.  a full GX setup is around 700 usd which is well outside my budget atm, and I would love to be back on my bike ASAP. 

what are the essential parts for swap from NX to GX? 

I'm not even sure if i'm asking the right questions, and local bike stores are unwilling to help since all of them claim many months of waiting for the parts without even quoting the price. Pains of living in a fairly flat country where most people ride city bikes.

I have a serious shifting problem, SRAM Eagle NX has a serious design flaw, a few reviews online have hinted at the problem, i do not recomend this product.
