Sennheiser HD 700 vs Sony MDR-7506

After the Sennheiser ones broke, I used the AKG earbuds that came in with my Samsung Galaxy S8+. They sounded worse, but kind of okay. When these broke, I used my mother's AKG earplugs from her Galaxy S7.

They also get very loud/\s/ when using them. With my Macbook Pro, I find 30/\s/volume to be plenty when listening to the 7506s/\s/ You hear the sounds...

Pros of the 700 Incredibly comfortable. These are light and have minimal clamp force. The ear pads are shaped like an ear and not an oval. The highs are amazingly detailed

Nevertheless, I'm still happy with the design. They are comfortable on my large head, and the cord is just the right length and looseness for me.

In my personal belief, Sennheiser headphones, in particular the 800 series are the worst case scenario of hype train. I have run these on solid-state amplifiers and tube amps with some exotic tube rolling. The tube amps helped sound but certainly didn't make it worth keeping. The cherry on top is the fit

So far these cans are pretty good for the current price (499). I will keep it short ( I lie ) as i haven't run it through the full lot of tests but so far i believe I've found many of its pro's and cons. Some notes to my Sennheiser history, my first set of quality headphones was the HD205 (one of the best cheap headphones) and the most expensive HD800's I've listened to and tried with notable amplifiers and mods. So I can't give a great review since I am lacking in knowledge regarding sound equipment so my opinion would be amateurish at best. However, it is hard to beat the price for a good headphone like this.

This might be unique to me but it is bad ju-ju. * listening to piano tracks, you can hear the keys and pedal felts and paddings brush, along with other nuances that were not there with the BOSE QC15s, Bose Noise Canceling Earbuds, 5.1 120 Cenimate and Soundtouch 20, Vmodas.

I spend about half my day talking to people, and the other half with my head down working. The trouble is, the people around me are in the same situation, and our quiet parts of the day are seldom aligned, plus we are all loud talkers, so my office is usually really noisy. Fortunately, the cord that Sennheiser sells for their 477 and 497 headphones fits the HD700 just fine. As I mention in the review below, the connection to the headphone is usual sub-mini mono TS phone plug, so these are headphones that you should be able to make a cord for, of wire of your choice, in a length of your choice. The case is holding up well: I pack the headphones in it five days a week as I head for work. The ear pads and headband strap are in good shape, and they are easy to keep clean

I had a pair of orig V6s back in the day and they eventually broke at the slider mount for the earpiece when I sat on them. These are prolly weak in the same way. Should otherwise be durable and long lived.
