In fact, I'm so happy with the quality of the sound (which blows away my next nicest pair) that I'm already looking forward to finding something new. My setup is simple: Schiit Stack (Magni 3+ & Modi). I currently own: Audio Technica M50x (my first baby), Sennheiser HD 6XX, and the DT 1990s.

 So if you've got a really big head like that, it'll, it'll actually still work for you. Now these do clamp on your head pretty tight. I'm a huge fan of the clamp force on this. I think it's very, very comfortable

 It's going to be depending on the game and how you play. Another question that I know I'm going to be getting a lot, 6XXs or 660s. And here's the thing. My thoughts on this are with the 6XXs and the 600, you get this texture and this detail, but you also get this odd sense of smoothness to the sound

 So this is probably going to be a longer video if you want to skip to any particular part, go ahead and jump here and that'll get you to wherever you want to go. That being said, the quick and dirty of this review is buy this headphone if you've never heard 6XXs before, if you've never heard HD600s before, if you want to hear what a basic representation of neutrality is, this is a great, great headphone, especially at the price of $200. Now one thing to factor in is that the HD6XX is a very, very popular headphone, which is actually part of the reason why I recommend getting it is because it kind of offers a very good reference for a lot of people who have heard that headphone and it makes it easier for people to compare based off of that reference, if that makes any sense at all. But one thing you should be aware of is that there have been reports of very, very long waits because these are so popular

 Starting off, these are a $220 USD or about $310 AUD headphones. They're in the lower end of the mid-tier headphone range and in some ways are only a small step above some of the entry-level audiophile headphones such as the Beyerdynamic DT 880, Sennheiser's own HD 58X and the new 560S that I haven't heard yet. So there's some pretty stiff competition and the need to justify their higher price given that there's some great competition for about $50 USD less. Talking briefly about the design, these are a very simple headphone they're made of plastic but they do feel sturdy

 One of them is you might be looking at it brand new or second hand and you might be looking for an additional review and the other reason being that if you've watched my channel for a while and you're looking at other reviews and you happen to know the 6XX you'll get a better sense of how I hear things, what I like and don't like and it'll help you to use my reviews more effectively in the future. So here we go, let's have a chat about the HD 6XX. Starting off, these are a $220 USD or about $310 AUD headphones.  Overall though what I found was that the 4XX kind of was a little bit in no-man's land between the two. It didn't have the impact and bass of the DT880 that I sometimes wanted and at the same time didn't have the mid-range clarity and presence of the 6XX. So it sort of got lost in between the two and realistically I cut their listening quite short because I would either choose the 6XX or the DT880 and the 4XX didn't really come into play. That's not to say that the 4XX doesn't have its own merits but in this particular scenario I would choose either the 6XX or the DT880 before I'd reach for the 4XX

 So there's some pretty stiff competition and the need to justify their higher price given that there's some great competition for about $50 USD less. Talking briefly about the design, these are a very simple headphone they're made of plastic but they do feel sturdy. Scott reckons he's got about 700,000 hours on these, I'm guessing that's an exaggeration but they still look pretty good, you can't tell that they've been a daily driver and a workhorse they still have a good look and feel to them. That speaks to the quality and the longevity of this design despite being quite plasticky

Massdrop X Sennheiser HD6XX Headphone Review - Is it still a winner?

I used these things mercilessly for 15 years, gaming and even sleeping with them on. They still work like new. You cannot go wrong with Sennheiser HD6xx or 58x series cans.

Bought these off of a gentleman who told me he's had these sence they were new and had used them daily untill he needed to sell them. After reading some of the literature I find out everything's printed 1997 (that's older than I am). Got a different cable to reduce some length (old one works great still) new pads and a headband and there still my best sounding cans. Hopefully they'll go onto my kids

1997/1998 Sennheiser hd600

They really shine with audiobooks, studying/focus, and shows/movies. I usually prefer wired headphones like Sennheiser 6XX for music but for noise cancellation and the rich bass, these make an excellent wireless bluetooth option!! Focus/study will be improved for sure wearing them. No issues with any genres I can tell, better than most Bluetooth cans out there.

 Decided noise cancellation was only nice on an airplane, and I preferred wired, donl't have to turn on or charge. If you have eyeglasses or hearing aides like I do, these are perfact. Yes I have expensive Sony noise canceling blue tooth, but the HD5XX are just in a different class, use all day, gaming, general listening. Plugged directly into Gigabyte Z690 Master mobo, no need for a DAC/amp here

 But that said, I think they're a headphone that could pair with any amp no problems at all, and they're a headphone that as you probably gathered, I would be sad to see go. And so if you're in the market for a beautifully made pair of headphones that's maybe a bit more special than a lot of the mass produced stuff, that's got a fun, engaging and generally enjoyable sound no matter what you're listening to both in terms of music and your source devices, then I definitely think you should check out the Auteurs. They are slightly coloured, they are not a truly neutral headphone, but if you're buying them for musical enjoyment and not a reference tool, then I think the Auteurs are a great choice, and I highly recommend them for it. As I said before, if you're looking to have two headphones in your collection, one that's more reference and one that's more fun, I definitely think the two that I've got in front of me here could be an end game setup for a lot of people, buy yourself a nice amplifier that can drive both, whether it's a tube amp or a solid state, and you've got yourself a setup that really doesn't fall that far behind some of the higher end products

ZMF Auteur Headphone Review - hand-crafted for your enjoyment!

Also, quality earpads. My ATH-W1000 shipped with pads that I found thin which I replaced with fat, $40 pads. Almost there. I've got some ZMF Auteur pads on the way and they seem thick enough and have large cavities for my delicate ears

My head is one chonky sunuvabitch and I have big ears to go with it. People often say 'try headset X, I have a big head and it's perfect for me'.  I have come to the conclusion that these people don't know that their head isn't big.  Finding a comfortable headset that doesn't crush my head and squish my ears has always been a total nightmare.

I use my headphones for work and well as gaming. As I often end up using them for 12-14 hours with only short breaks, I need something that I can wear comfortably for very long sessions.

The only mandatory features I need are wireless connectivity with modest range (20 ft or so is fine), and the ability to use the headset while it is charging if necessary.

My current headset is the GSP 670 - a headset that I bought on a recommendation from a thread that was a couple years old. It's comfortable - which is great - but I'm not a huge fan of the features - it has weird quirks with connectivity, the wireless range is a bit too short for my liking, and I really desire something that charges with USB-C instead of Micro USB, as Micro USB chargers tend to be far too fragile in a household full of children.

As I'm looking at retiring this headset soon, I realized I am about to be embarking on another mission to find a headset that matches my needs - which is often a $1000+ endeavor as I buy tons of headsets that aren't comfortable.

I'm hoping to shorten the pain of the transition period by coming to you fine people and ask : Big head people, do you have a headset that might meet my needs?

Headphones for (very) big heads?

 In short, the headphones sound neutral without being analytical. They sound wide without losing bass. They sound clear without becoming harsh. Are there other headphones that do similar things for less money? Probably

 It's not a sugary mess like Hershey's or Cadbury. The same is true for the Autur. If you want a neutral, natural sound signature that doesn't sound boring, the Autur is an excellent option. ZMF is a fantastic headphone manufacturer

 We aren't talking about Logitech or Razer speakers. We're talking real quality speakers. Speakers provide a sense of natural transience. They are not veiled

 It does two things rather well. First, the entire frequency range sounds unaccentuated, fairly neutral and clear. I say fairly neutral because often neutral headphones lack sub bass presence, but not the Autur. It has it, and it is not overdone
