Sealy Hybrid Premium vs Tuft & Needle Original

Ex mattress saleslady here: if you’re going to spend that on a Sealy, just go for the Tempurpedic. You can put any tempurpedic on a Sealy base. Tempurpedic is the best.

-We like a responsive foam that you can change positions without getting stuck in mattress, but also want to be cradled a bit... So some sink in is good

She likes her parents' bed, a Sealy Hybrid Premium plush top (the most expensive mattress they sell) on the most expensive sealy adjustable frame. Her parents had to downgrade to a queen due to the price (5K for a queen), but they love it.

I was very upset because it cost a little over $2k. The company came over, refunded our previous purchase (the local mattress company is 100% amazing & accommodating), placed the frame - 2 XL twin box springs under the mammoth king size. The company threw a bed in a bag into the mix for free. ***Complaints about the mattress only, not the business are as follows*** I

I don't necessarily feel gonna roll off of the mattress, but overall not the best edge support with the tuft needle. So now let's talk about the pros ...

We live in a small town but have a mattress firm. I tried and fell in love with the Sealy Hybrid Premium™ Silver Chill 14" Plush Mattress.

Tuft & Needle may just be too firm for me. :( I cannot return it because I purchased through Amazon and the 30 day trial has passed. I want to love this mattress, I think the company has the right idea and is reasonably priced. So at this point, for me, it is an acceptable mattress at a reasonable price

They are lying in the store and online when they say the smell isn’t that bad or fades away or just “new.” Find something else that doesn’t have the foam cooling technology or dark in color. Someone commented below in 2018 with this issue also “ CertiPurUS certified and why is it still having the terrible smell for such a long time?” - it’s now 2020 and there still have been no changes to this pure black colored dye smell whatever it is.

1. Way cooler than the old memory foam topper. I set my thermostat to 58 at night as i sleep hot. I was always removing covers in in the middle of the night because of the heat retained by the memory foam topper

Period. End of story! This mattress is thick, comfortable, sturdy, and well worth the money. Highly recommended! 5 star mattress!

The cover is very soft and I was skeptical, but the chill silver cover does keep your body cool. I haven’t been able to sleep on my right side for over 7 or so years until I purchased this mattress. I love so far.

TLDR: So-so comfort, too hot for us. Just okay. Like many folks, I did my fair share of research prior to purchasing a new mattress. The thousands of positive reviews convinced us to give this mattress a try, plus I was impressed by the reported excellent customer service and ability to return it if it didn't work for us

This mattress releases an obnoxiously strong chemical odor. And 6 weeks after arrival it is still bad enough that we choose not to sleep on it for health concerns - we have it in a closed room with windows open to simply tolerate its presence in our home. After a long and drawn out ordeal we were finally able to return it to the store which we purchased it from. Buyer beware - this smell is NOT something to dismiss, especially on such an expensive mattress - I simply could never recommend this mattress to anyone who values their health

Also the new one, in a complete 180 from this standard one, smelt like a chemical factory when unpacked and still has a scent today (though much less). That was disappointing. Also it's supposed to be cooler than the standard and seems to be warmer. Not the best start for $400 more, but time will tell
