How if Possible Can I change my Tires to a Smaller faster tire on my bike?

 This is a set of these tires I've got fitted to my bike, you can see a nice tread pattern on it. In between this and my Fox forks, I've got a little custom made mudguard I've stuck on a few zip tires. Let's see, there's still plenty of space between the tire and the fork

Schwalbe Big Apple 2 35

 Hi this is Mark's Cycle Repairs, a quick look at the Schwaball Big Apple 2.35 tires.

 This is a set of these tires I've got fitted to my bike, you can see a nice tread pattern

 on it. All the way around, trying to get it up good but you can see a quite large tire,

 doesn't look too bad on my wheels and there's still plenty of clearance. In between this

 and my Fox forks, I've got a little custom made mudguard I've stuck on a few zip tires.

 Let's see, there's still plenty of space between the tire and the fork. So no problems fitting

 them on any sort of suspension. The advantage of being a lot wider is you can run a lot

 lower pressure, so I ride these on the road at 35psi which takes up a lot more of the

 bumps and makes the ride even smoother. And obviously being bigger they're very easy to

 fit and with this reflector light, the reflector strip all the way around makes it quite good.

If you want some puncture protection and can fit a 48-50 wide tire, I would totally go for the 20 x 2.0" Schwalbe Big Apples with the racer skin sidewalls. I used them on the triplet for years. Relatively supple tire that never got a flat over 5 years of family riding

As the title says, I dislike Marathons. Yes, I realize they are best-in-class puncture resistance, but I hate how they ride and I find them overkill for puncture resistance for my normal urban cycling. On my bike with 700c wheels I've been riding Paselas for years because I love their combination of good-enough puncture resistance and ride quality. 

With that in mind, what tires do you recommend that have *good* puncture resistance, but that also ride nice?

The Vittoria Mazza is an excellent, aggressive tire that rivals the performance of the most popular models on the market. Vittoria may not have the same level of brand recognition as some other manufacturers, but we feel that it is liable to change if they keep making amazing tires like this. We loved the Mazza as a front tire where it excels in the corners with a stout row of well-supported side knobs that grip well in a huge range of conditions. The transition from the center tread to the side knobs is smooth, and once on edge, it bites and holds with confidence-inspiring and predictable manners. Braking traction is another highlight, and the large knobs with open spacing grab well on most surfaces when it comes time to slow things down. Lots of lengthwise siping on all of the knobs allow them to really conform to the trail surface, and it holds well on firm surfaces, off-camber terrain, and rock slabs. The Trail casing we tested offers a good blend of support and suppleness, and Vittoria's 4C Graphene rubber was surprisingly resilient with an above-average tread life.  
Due to the Mazza's tread design, it has a bit more rolling resistance than tires with a less aggressive tread. We also found it to be a touch heavy when compared to similarly aggressive tires of the same size. Beyond those concerns, we feel the Mazza is an outstanding tire that rivals the best of the best. We'd highly recommend it as a front tire for aggressive trail riders who are looking to try something different.

If you're looking at those two combos I'd also recommend Vittoria Mazza/Agarro or if you want a little more grip in the rear you could swap the Agarro for a Martello. Ran the DHF/DHR2 combo last year and these so far have outperformed them everywhere. Less rolling resistance, better grip and protection, plus they might be easier to get since the Minions are so popular.

I am looking for a new set of tires but struggle to decide between these two combos. I ride mostly aggresive trail riding in rocky and muddy enviroments.

DHF/DHR vs Magic Mary/Hans Dampf

6 Vittoria Mazza Graphine 2.0 tires in the rear on all my bikes, and on the front on some of my bikes with Wild Enduro Gum x still on the front of one or two bikes. Going to try the 2.4 on the rear for the winter to try and dig in a little deeper through the leaves over mud

Best year-round trail/enduro tire ever!

In the past I've always bought the Maxxis Minion DHR tire for my enduro mtb. I went looking for a new tire to try and decided I'd give these Mazza's a go. I ride in Colorado where the singletrack is mostly loose decomposed granite over hard packed dirt/rock so tires normally wear out quick! I've only got a couple rides on these tires but I'm very pleased with their grip so hopefully the last more than 6 months.
