day 2. The set up with the rinky dinky remote was tedious. Finally got it working and looked pretty good but I thought the picture looking dim sometimes.

A few times it wouldn’t turn on at all. I realized at that point that if the Roku function broke on this, that it would be totally worthless and I would be unable to turn it on to use. The remote control is the same type as you get for a freestanding Roku device that you hook up separately to a smart TV. It just does not work very well, and I have a feeling the TV is going to have a relatively short life before it just won’t work

Regarding the SmartTV functions, I resent requests to share my location and other personal information, and to consent to agreements that are too long and technical for anyone to actually read. I encourage everyone who has purchased this TV to change your factory default password to something more secure. Samsung could be doing more to educate consumers about security risks, and to protect our privacy.

Not just any menu to view what is on tv right now, but a menu to show you what is coming up. TCL is so high tech for cord cutters, by adding a USB drive to the tv you can pause live tv. This is amazing. imagine watching your favorite show but you need a bathroom break

especially the remote control. It is not backlit, it does not fit well in my hand, impossible to use in the dark or dim light, only a sparse number of buttons, no tactical feedback sensation to differentiate one function from the other, the system menu is extremely difficult to navigate because the remote is so ackward it times out before I can select what I want to do, the volume control up/down is slow, often unresponsive, as slow to actually change the sound level, after putting the batteries in it is impossible to completely close the case, and it keeps coming open, the scroll up/down/left/right button is barely useable, too many steps to get to any function because there is not enough buttons on the remote, the Apps Bar is useless, and the web browser if the biggest joke ever. I could go on but my fingers are tired.

I had a ROKU device attached to the LG so the choice of a ROKU TV was a given. I do like the O.S. and user interface

After getting this TV, I found that it does not have auxiliary audio outputs. I and many of my friends have hearing problems due to old age. Many of us use auxiliary RF or IR headsets to listen to TV without disturbing others nearby. This TV does not have auxiliary audio output RCA jacks that will allow me to use headsets

The sound quality is poor. You’d have to buy a sound bar to get greeter volume. Also commercials are so much louder than the program I’m watching. I also set up payments and they tried to take the payment 5 days earlier then they were supposed too!, and then the payment was unsuccessful because I didn’t have enough money in my acct to pay it
