Although using an SSD instead of spinning platter technology offers room to slim down, SSDs tend to generate a lot more heat, and a minuscule aluminum enclosure is not great for heat dissipation.  I’ve loaded a ton of video footage on it and I’m surprised at how fast the drive is. I linked to the drive as a file source as I was editing videos and it worked well. I’ve done this with other drives in the past and they’re very laggy and can crash. I have yet to log any serious time with this but so far so good

This device checks all the necessary boxes and provided the sprinkles on top.  My favorite things are the speed, security, and portability

 I also love the fingerprint scanner for security. It is fast, reliable, and provides the extra security I need.  Lastly, since I’m not all work and no play, I tested the drive with my Xbox. Plugged it in as an external storage device to store some of my games on it

 I'm giving this item 3 stars because, despite being more than fast enough, I think I got a faulty unit. It struggles with sustained loads and sometimes renders Final Cut Pro frozen after prolonged periods of editing. I've never had this happen on any SSDs before, much less SanDisk ones. I made sure it wasn't my computer or software wigging out

  This 2000MB/s - USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 is really fast. I have always had basic HDDs and even a new Seagate 1TB, so I was amazed at the transfer speeds.  Soft silicone grippy back and edges on both sides
