the contrast in these highlights fall short of the hdr capabilities of the television and look horrendous. i'm watching films i've shot on apple movies, and amazon prime apps. the tv gets it wrong. period

I do not like this oversimplified, everything on-screen, remote control which is why I'm very thankful that the Samsung remote control for my previous model continues to work and gives me single-button direct access to many of the features I would have to shuffle through to find using the on-screen commands. of course the remote that came with the q80 will not control the volume for whatever reason so it is effectively useless.
