You can either pay to have someone come to your home to accomplish that, (which is costly), or you can do it yourself by looking online for calibration guidelines. I found excellent calibration levels by simply using Google and putting in: Samsung UN49KS8000 calibration you will see several sites that will clearly display the best calibration choices. I have a Series X and mainly play games and use the xbox as my dashboard for twitch, youtube and Netflix. I can get the Sony xh90 for £769 or the Sony X90J for 1,299. 

Is it really worth the £500 difference?. I was considering oled but i play games to much. Samsung QN90A i like the look of but it's alot atm and no Dolby Vision.

The Sony xh90 is 1 year warrenty and TBA X90J 5 year warranty.

Sony 55xh90 or Sony 55X90J?.

 In comparison, my Blu-ray player takes exactly ONE press of a button, but I like to use my Xbox for a superior picture, as well as 4K support (Xbox lacks Bluetooth).  This seems like a software fix needed on Sony's end. I've owned this TV for 2 months, and no such fix has been made. If you go into the settings (such as "Bluetooth"), instead of taking you to the selected setting, it takes you to the home screen instead! This creates a couple of issues

 It takes a total of 18 (yes, EIGHTEEN) button presses on the remote to successfully make a connection, and get me back to the input I was watching. (I'm not even including the button press on my headphones). In comparison, my Blu-ray player takes exactly ONE press of a button, but I like to use my Xbox for a superior picture, as well as 4K support (Xbox lacks Bluetooth).  This seems like a software fix needed on Sony's end

Beautiful picture, functionality is total s#!t

 This was April 28th. In order to "validate" my problem I was sent an email indicating the I need to send pictures of the defect (sound problems--don't know what picture of no sound looks like) and pictures of the model number and serial number (which I already gave them via phone). Once I sent that, they would "validate" my problem within 24 hours and then send me a new replacement TV within 5-7 business days. I chose to work with Amazon (this is the good news)

 I summarized again the symptoms. I asked if I could purchase a new soundbar, have it shipped to Sony and have Sony TV Engineering test with my soundbar to isolate and fix the problem.  Update (5/14/2021) It has been 3 business days (the prescribed amount of time to wait for response). I had not heard back, so I called Sony

 In fact, with the previous (deemed defective model) I had tried with another soundbar and had problem, so I have asked them to re-open case. Not happy..

 Once I sent that, they would "validate" my problem within 24 hours and then send me a new replacement TV within 5-7 business days. I chose to work with Amazon (this is the good news). Amazon took care of the return right away, and I ordered a new set that same day (price had decreased $200 in two weeks since I purchased). My new TV arrived the next day

1 ports, so you can game at 4k at 120 frames per second. In addition, both of these tvs have the next-gen atsc 3.0 tuner. So, as more markets come online, you'll be able to get high quality channels

 And you have a clear winner in a bright room: i'm not sure we can assign an exact dollar amount to the brightness, because it's not really an easy thing to do. But let's go over some of the important information and see if we can get a tv for you when you consider either of these tvs. You have a few factors to think about. The first considerations are typically size and price and those are just numbers

 The x90j is pretty light, which is nice to get it up on the table by myself, but it does have a cheaper build quality. On the other hand, x95j is pretty heavy and the edges have a thicker square. Look it's a bit creaky when picking it up. Both of these tvs have speakers on the side to help direct sound out of the audience, but the x90j has downward firing woofers, while the x95j are still on the back

 Let me know in the comments since the tvs are on, we can start to talk about the differences in the picture, quality and i'll show you a couple tests before rendering some buying advice. First, just a reminder for anyone: who's new to 2021 tvs from sony. The x90j and the x95j both have the xr processor, which not only looks amazing when upscaling, but also is able to push extra brightness to highlights and focus on objects as a human. Would

As the title says, I just recently bought a new Sony X90J and as I am not happy with the motion performance while gaming. Panning and moving the camera around causes stutter and blurriness that was not as noticable on my old 2009 LG Tv. Maybe imperfections are now more visible because of the better resolution as this is my first 4K tV.

 I will keep the TV, but would go for cheaper model next time for my particular needs in that specific room. Unless you sit close to the screen, lots of the advantages of this screen quality get lost. Sound wise, it's actually usable after some equalizer adjustments, but here too I'm using HomePods that deliver fuller sound and don't sound like a TV speaker. (the TV allows connections to Amazon and Google wireless speakers as well)

 On the plus side - HomeKit works well once the proper syncing order has been determined. It's a bit of a dance to get the order right of which button to push when. Oh, and if you want to get the free movies that come with the purchase, you have to install Google TV to fully access Bravia Core.

 With size and viewing distance, that price may not make much sense (even at the current discount), and a TV half the price would have probably been just as fine. I shied back from OLED because the viewing distance wouldn't justify the price increase, and the screen reflections in a very bright room, but then this model doesn't seem to hold much advantage in this respect. It's different for really large TVs (65'+) with proper seating distance, where the panel is more important than for my current setup. In retrospect, I bought Sony because of past good experience and was fine paying the higher price for quality control

Iffy quality control ; picture ok ; Google TV not worth it

 Terrible warranty and policy standards (I'll give them an "F"). Also, their "smart" features and overall interface is slow, glitches (kicks me out of programs), randomly resets itself, and the refresh rate of streaming services/channels is abysmal ("D").
