Connectivity

Review after almost 1 year of use

The sub and rears don't connect though. To fix this you unplug the sub, plug it back in and then it connects and you get sound through it and the rears. Very strange issue and I tried fixing it by doing a factory restore and it didn't help. If I had to revisit this purchase I'd likely go in a different direction if Samsung still hasn't updated the firmware

Do Vizio soundbars support changing the volume using Google Home?

I have v21 h8 and it is been very difficult to set up. Assistant can link via Bluetooth but then you cannot have other devices link to the soundbar. There is voice assistant aux in but sadly no ga gh product has 3.5 mm jack

Great Sound Bar With a Potential Fatal Flaw (UPDATE) (2nd UPDATE 3/21/21)

So much for experiencing that particular feature. The fatal flaw is that the soundbar cuts out every time I use the "skip forward" feature on recorded programs. It's OK for about 3 skips then the sound fails. Turning off the soundbar and back on resolves the issue but it does happen every single time

Remote Control

Ok for standard use. For Atmos audio - Unusable/Don't Buy

I had it up to the latest firmware, and everything should have worked (this isn't my first soundbar or Atmos device). Other Issues: The remote: Totally useless. Somewhat of a joke. Not like I was expecting a full-on remote to replace my normal TV remote controller, but it should at least be able to control *all* of the soundbar's limited features (there sure aren't many)

Vizio Customer Service scores ZERO

After extensive research for soundbar/subwoofer ordered a Vizio. Pre-read quick guide prior to arrival. Got all & was baffled at remote being impossible to open, so after googling & still couldn’t open, called Vizio. Connection to wherever the call goes to was hardly audible, finally Rep suggested I use a small coin to pry the remote open, which I gently did, and the the ENTIRE remote fell apart with pieces flying everywhere, and her suggestion was then for me to just not use the remote
