 You might want to take a look at this one today we're giving an honest review of the samsung q800 - hey guys juan here, thanks for stopping by my channel and checking out this video now this has been a pretty good, sound bar for me. In a short time that i have owned this, but today we're going to dive into the specifics and give you a full review of this awesome, sound bar all right. So, let's talk about the cosmetics on it first to get started off so on the top and the side here on the front and the top here, it's got a metal grill, that's kind of gives you a little bit of that industrial feel, and it is a Pretty solid, sound bar, it's got a little bit of weight to it um i did not mount it onto the wall. I just kind of put it right here: uh well, basically, because i can't mount it onto the wall, i'm on a corner section here in this room, so there was no way to me for me to mount it, but i think it looks pretty good like this

 Just on the stand right below tv and the way that samsung designed this is to pair up with their television, so as you can see, it does not go up above the screen any so that's kind of nice to give it that nice clean look, and it's Got the branding on the top here that says samsung, but it's black metal, real sleek. Looking now in the top corner over here there's the indicator. Light is only on this side of the sound bar all the way to your right and then also on this indicator. Light it lets, you know what input you are running

 But - and it's really clean with not having a whole lot of buttons on the side there and then, of course, there's the power button on the side as well. But when it comes to the bluetooth, you might have to have a little bit of patience. Five seconds. Okay, so now let me give you a little bit of a sound test with this uh to show you guys what it sounds like and then i'll dive into more of the specifics with it in the center and let's go ahead and play [ Music ]

If these are important to you as well, so the number of ways to play audio is pretty decent

 Its measurements come in at 98 centimeters wide, but only seven centimeters tall and 12 centimeters in depth is covered in a metal grille around the front and on the top, though around the back and on the bottom are made from a very hard plastic. So the quality of the soundbar does feel excellent. It'S definitely been designed with tvs in mind as a unit that slots between the feet, though you'd be hard-pressed to find a tv 55 inches and under that can cater for it. But there's no worries, though sitting in front of the tv is no problem either as it's very very low and it will not block off ir receivers for remote controls

 The 800 also has wi-fi incorporated, so it works with apple airplay, 2 and spotify connect plus with its built-in microphones. It can act as a standalone, smart assistant with amazon alexa, so you don't need a separate external device for voice controls. That also means you can ask the 800 for things like the news and weather or even your daily schedule, but unlike the 700, the 800 does not have any support for google assistant for the preset sound modes. You get surround sound expansion to widen the sound stage

9 inches high and 15.9 inches deep. This is a system you ideally want to use with tvs that are 43 inches and larger on the top. Are controls for source selection, volume and mic mute and on the back, are all of your connections for this one

com called this out in their review and it almost scared me off, but if you have a medium-ish room, this subwoofer should be enough.  I also tried out the Samsung HW-Q800a (same soundbar with bigger sub) and the Vizio SB46514-F6 (HUGE sub), and I found both of those had too much bass - I had to turn down their subwoofer volume levels to the minimum in both cases.  I found the HW-Q700a's subwoofer to be adequate.  You may not be getting as wide a range of low frequency sounds, but it's not "in your face"

  The sound for TV and movies is pleasing without being overly harsh or bass-heavy.  I was coming from a 2.1 Sony HT-CT660 soundbar, so I appreciate the separate center channel.  The upfiring Atmos effects are very subtle and are not as directional as you'd expect - I don't expect much from any upfiring speakers in my setup

**TLDR:** Open concrete loft space, dialogue muddy from TV speakers, **USD** 500$ / **CAD** 700$ space restrictive solution  

Q Symphony is also an amazing feature that really enhances the audio experience 90% of the time. During some songs it actually feels like the interface relies too much on the TV speakers, and then it sounds abit tinny. But most of the time it really feels like it adds an extra layer of depth to the music or Show/movie, making the vocals and individual instruments stand out. 

Prices are back to normal again now and its back to being way more expensive than I paid for from Samsung themselves. 

I purchased a Samsung HW Q800A last weekend ,and I've been extremely happy with it so far. It excels in making movies and series sound incredible, and music really goes to another level as well. I am very happy, especially considering I got it on a huge sale, getting it for the same price as Samsung's cheaper HW Q600A. 

The Q800A consistently got very good reviews across the board, with it being a struggle to find even as much as a mediocre review about its audio quality. Even the very Fussy Rtings gave it a very respectable 8.1/10 

This made me wonder, according to you guys, what is the absolute best soundbar out there for music. I'm not talking about surround sound movies, gaming, features etc, just outright audio quality for music alone, if that were the only aspect of the bar that mattered?

 Like I said, more surround and 360 atmos sound than many other setups, or even just about any other soundbar or basic home theater setup. But… I don’t think I would say more immersive. The bass is quite poor. The Sonos arc with surrounds setup even without a sub attached has better sounding and more powerful bass than this unit with the soundbar

1 and I don’t want a middle man from my devices to the tv. I will add that this may be partially the tv as the culprit. The setup I prefer works with the Sonos arc setup, but I have had some “handshake” issues with that as well from the Apple TV to the tv itself then to the arc. I’ve only noticed this once and it didn’t last long, but I do want to mention

Sounds Good When Works

 I placed mine on the floor so i can feel the bass. The remote is slim, comes with batteriesand has a nice matt finish so it looks cool, the surface is smooth and the volume button stands out to easily change without looking at the remote. It also comes with instructions that are easy to understand and it also comes with the wall mount brackets, one HDMI cable. As for the Soundbar, out the box I like how it looks, it has a front grill and top as well so it covers and protects the speakers

 I turned on the soundbar by itself to know how clear the sound was and it is very. The soundbar has 8 speakers and you can tell right away because the sound comes from all over the room, the last speaker is the subwoofer so in total there are 9 speakers and with 360 watts, it is more than enough. The Bluetooth setup is just like any other and even better with the simply tap and play. With multi connection, at gatherings the speaker becomes part of the party

 The Soundbar and subwoofer arrived in a secured big box. The subwoofer is wireless so no cables to run from here. I placed mine on the floor so i can feel the bass. The remote is slim, comes with batteriesand has a nice matt finish so it looks cool, the surface is smooth and the volume button stands out to easily change without looking at the remote

  UPDATE: I thought twice and decided to get another HW-Q60T soundbar to replace the faulty unit, because of its ability to interface seamlessly with my Samsung TV[s]. I figured I'd return it immediately if it performed poorly, but this one doesn't perform poorly. It works well. The volume is fine and the bass is punchy

 .  UPDATE II: Uh oh. The volume problems are happening again. For shows I could watch with the volume set at 28-35, I now have to set between 75-95

I purchased the HW-Q60T soundbar to go with our new Samsung Q80T television. This replaced an old Samsung soundbar/wireless sub I liked that stayed with the house we sold. The Q60T was easy to set up and interfaced immediately with the TV and the wireless subwoofer. I was underwhelmed with the weak sound output

The treble, the bass, the surround speakers, EVERYTHING is good. Would highly recommend this above just buying a speaker bar.

If you're looking for an affordable bar with lots of thump and punch in the bass, check out the Vizio V Series V21-H8. It's a 2.1 setup like the Samsung HW-A550, but its dedicated subwoofer can reproduce a more extended low-bass, making it a solid choice for listening to bass-heavy music. There's even a subwoofer level control that lets you adjust how loud the subwoofer gets.

Its default sound profile is quite bass-heavy, so you feel the rumble in bass-heavy genres like hip-hop and EDM. The mids are still quite balanced, so dialogue in TV shows is clear and detailed. You also have some options available to help customize its performance, including bass and treble adjustments and a dialogue enhancement mode.

It lacks Atmos support, and its surround sound performance isn't the most impressive. You won't find a full graphic EQ, limiting your ability to adjust its sound, especially in the mid-range. Still, if you want a budget-friendly bar with a boomy bass, it's a good pick.

While the very low price of the Vizio V-Series 2.1 Home Theater Sound Bar V21-H8 had us momentarily questioning our ears, we can assure you this soundbar sounds better than several more expensive competitors, while offering a dearth of useful features and presets. There is a powerful subwoofer that Vizio recommends placing next to or behind the audience, where increased proximity to the rumbly bass makes for an exciting experience. Dialogue enhancement and night mode also make for a great viewing experience at lower volumes.
Though this model is solid for the price point, it can't hold a candle to the higher-end model in terms of overall sound quality. While powerful, the bass can sound muddy and overwhelm the rest of the mix. When we did turn the bass down, the weak mids and sometimes harsh treble became more apparent. This isn't too much of a problem when watching action films at high volumes, but it makes for a poor experience when using the soundbar to listen to music. Still, this soundbar is a monumental improvement over any built-in TV speakers, and if your bank account can't absorb a high-end sound system to pair with your newly acquired flat screen, the Vizio V-Series 2.1 Home Theater Sound Bar is a very solid option.
