Rode NT1A vs Sony C800

  • Great for vocals
  • Good quality for the price
  • Bright and brittle to the ears
  • Comes with nothing to hold the microphone
  • Not great for acoustic guitars
  • Great for vocal recordings
  • One of the holy grail of bright vocal mics
  • Used on tons of pop/r&b/rap records
  • Not sure how hot this take is, but IMO "clones"
  • Most real sound-alikes aren't often even brought up in the discussions
