Meet the Razer Viper Mini, the best budget ultra-lightweight mouse we've tested. Based on the original Razer Viper, this mouse is smaller and slightly lighter, but it feels just as sturdy as its larger counterpart.

Its click latency is outstanding, meaning gaming will feel responsive no matter the genre. Though the sensor isn't quite as good as the full-sized model, it still offers a low lift-off distance and a fairly wide CPI range, within which you can find a sensitivity setting that suits your play style. The best budget FPS mouse is the Razer Viper Mini. This mouse is a smaller version of the classic, and it has quietly become a favorite among FPS enthusiasts for delivering solid performance at a fraction of the cost of some of many FPS flagship models. Neither its feet nor cable cause drag on desks or mousepads, so you'll have a smooth and fluid gliding experience.

Using the companion software you can reprogram all of its buttons, and you can adjust the sensor settings and customize the RGB lighting to suit your preferences. However, the software isn't available on macOS. Although, you can save your settings to the mouse's onboard memory using a PC and carry them across to other devices without the software installed.

But also the Viper Mini fills my hand better because of the hump, the DA V2 Mini’s shape feels much flatter in my hand. In the end it comes down to whether or not you prefer symmetrical or asymmetrical shapes. The “improved” cable may or may not please the ones who complained about cable drag on the Viper Mini, but Razer has been doing a great job of listening to us so far, and I am sure they will consider reverting back to the old braid if people don’t like the new one.

Switches were really light, but still an amazing budget choice for a gaming mouse.

I have been using Viper Mini with 400 DPI/1000Hz and a 55cm/360 sensitivity (arm aimer) and I did not feel any drastic difference in LOD after the new firmware but rather it feels a bit more accurate sort of, someone stated as mouse being "not as floaty" but for me it might as well be just placebo. I have been maining the Viper Mini from release and never felt the LOD being too high, it never was an issue in-game for me. I do lift off my mouse quite a bit while playing but never had any major issues with the LOD, only when "testing the LOD" it might have felt a bit too high. After the new firmware I feel that the difference is rather more accurate feeling of the sensor and for me it made the mouse ever so slightly more better which it already is

Viper / DA Mini LOD Improvement - Results

The clicks were mushy and not great, they put me off the mouse, but I loved the clicks of my  viper mini, I saw online their hotswap and decided to swap them over to see if it fixed the issue and it did!. I now have an amazing Viper Ultimate, and one crappy Viper mini with mushy clicks!

Not sure if people know, but you can easily swap Viper mini switches into your Viper Ultimate.

Any USB-C cable we ship to customers will need to be safe and compliant with USB-IF specs. This means the cable will need to support 3A current, much thicker gauge and much thicker shielding. As most of you would know - non-compliant cables are a major pain point for retailers and the industry... [Amazon routinely bans brands that sell non-standard cables.](https://techcrunch.com/2016/03/29/amazon-bans-the-sale-of-rogue-usb-c-cables/) Using a non-compliant cable is NOT an option for Razer. With micro-USB, we can continue to offer the speedflex cables (that we ship with our mice now). Of course, we do understand plugged-in use is not the dominant case for wireless mice.

Sidenote : USB-C does not automatically mean fast-charging as some people assume. Almost none of the USB-C mice on the market till date have actual fast charging. The charging current is well below what micro-USB can provide (500mA).


**Question 2 : 50h battery that charges in 1 hour vs 70h battery that charges in 2.5 hours.**

For the same weight, those are the 2 options available. Batteries that allow faster absorption require bigger anodes/cathodes, and hence lower capacity. Alternatively, for the same weight you could have battery with smaller anodes/cathodes, slower absorption rates but higher capacity. For mouse charging purposes, USB-C vs micro-USB has no bearing on charging speed. See sidenote above.

Most of our wireless rechargeable mice use optical switches. To allow the mouse to wake up from sleep using mouse-click, the switch/LED needs to be ON to detect the input. Based on our 2019 focus groups, people DID notice the lack of click-of-wakeup feature, so we decided to keep the feature. However, seeing as people complain about the "days between recharges" as one of their pain points compared to other mechanical switch mice, I'm opening this up for feedback again if people are willing to live with the requirement to move the mouse to wake it up. Do note that it IS very much possible to click mice without moving them what so ever.

 The scroll wheel, rotates relatively softly and can also be, of course, clicked. The final button on the mouse is a dpi switch that can toggle between just two dpi settings on the go.  The rival 100 aims to be the best of its budget gaming, mice class. Many all the necessities for basic gaming without including expensive additional features that would drive the price up appearance-wise, the rival 100 is quite nice, actually think it's better. Looking the summer SteelSeries other more expensive, such as the sensei. I prefer the non pixelated SteelSeries logo and all-around look and symmetrical contours

 This nice appearance is aided by full RGB lighting that illuminates both the aforementioned logo and either side of the scroll wheel. Rounding out its looks is a dotted texture grip pad on both sides of the mouse. As you can see on here, we have the black editions, but you can now choose from six other colorways, including white, red, green, yellow purple and even gold. The only non symmetrical part of the mouse are the browsing, some buttons

 This is where our steel series qck double XL comes in. I love these food s. Mouse pads and the steel series paid to live at 900 by 400 millimeters, it's bigger than some comparable fool desk pads and as such, the sample size to even the wildest Mouse play love and I really enjoy being able to move my keyboard around without it running Into the edge of my mousepad up top, the pad is really nice, simple, black colored fabric, that's really quite comfortable to lean against with a white SteelSeries logo at the bottom right. This material is made to suit both laser and optical mice, and I've heard that it even works with the ball mouse if you're still gaming in the 90s, a rubbery non-slip base provides plenty of grip, not that sliding around is really ever an issue with these large Mouse pads and the bottom is patterned with the SteelSeries logo all around it's a great mousepad and it even comes with some SteelSeries stickers to boot

<p>I accidentally deleted my post so I&#39;ve had to re-post it.</p>

<p>I want to start this off by saying a few things, this post is mainly for people searching for information about the mouse, I tried to find information on here but it was scarce, so maybe this will show up next time. Also because the M6 sports mouse is shit.</p>

<p>I&#39;ve used the DeathAdder pretty much exclusively since 2013, I still like trying out new mice though, I&#39;m from the UK, I bought this mouse from Aliexpress on 11/11 and it got here 13 days later on the 24/11.</p>

<p>The shape is pretty much tried and tested, model O type shape, the same as my Freewolf m6, I don&#39;t think I really need to go over it, its not innovative, but it&#39;s a good shape for many people.</p>

<h1>Build quality</h1>

<p>Pretty much excellent, I&#39;ve seen a few reviews scattered across several websites that say there is not scroll wheel rattle, no pre-post travel on the buttons and a nice scroll wheel click, mine didn&#39;t have quite that good quality but its a LOT better than that pile of shit above, the Freewolf M6. My version has some scroll wheel rattle at certain points, so if I scroll it half circle, it won&#39;t rattle, if I scroll it a few steps more, it will rattle, it&#39;s not bad though.</p>

<p>The buttons have literally No pre-post travel, are extremely good and are rated for 10 million clicks, but as we all should know, that&#39;s just marketing, and the real value is based off how good the engineers are at actually reaching the spec, my left-click takes slightly more force than the right, but it&#39;s not really noticeable, the mouse literally feels like I could spend £80 and be happy, in reality, it was £15.50.</p>

<p>If any of you are actually interested in learning about why the marketing in switches is a load of bollocks, you can watch these two videos that go over it really well!</p>

<h1>Performance</h1>

<p>Excellent, extremely smooth tracking and the feet are surprisingly good (And you get a spare pair in the box!) Not quite as smooth as my Kone ultra, but still extremely good, I don&#39;t really know if you can beat the ultra honestly. There are literally 0 complaints about the performance, the lift-off distance is extremely low and can be configured in the software (Which is surprisingly good) The RGB lighting is really bright if you like that sort of thing, and the scroll wheel is extremely easy to scroll, but not too easy so it decides it&#39;s moving up a notch by itself. The scroll wheel click doesn&#39;t need too much force which is a nice change and the side buttons are really nice, not too much force and no pre-post travel.</p>

<p>I really only play Lvl 10 faceit CSGO and some valorant sometimes, I&#39;m an FPS player mainly so that&#39;s where I was reviewing it, overall I&#39;m really happy with this mouse, even if I do play better with a DeathAdder because my fingertip grip works really well for some reason!</p>

<p>No cable drag, literally none, the best cable I&#39;ve used to date and I forget its there, this is why I don&#39;t want wireless! </p>

<p>Its also around 67g, light.</p>

<p>Also, the top buttons are extremely nice to press, not too much force and the top button is raised so you can differentiate them, really nice touch.</p>

<h1>Packaging</h1>

<p>Really good, it came in a typical bubble wrapped plastic bag, but the mouse is boxed pretty well and even has a swing-open cover that has magnets to keep it shut, pretty cool for the price.</p>

<h1>Now for the Freewolf M6 section</h1>

<p>I really don&#39;t want to go and find it, but on one post from here, there have been several people saying how the Freewolf M6/Ajazz AJ390 are the same as the M700, couldn&#39;t be further from the truth, I feel like I got an £80 mouse with the M700, with the M6, it feels so cheap, the left and right clicks have pre-post travel, the left-right plastic parts move left to right, the whole thing rattles and capacitors literally fell out of the hole in the bottom, this is not a well-produced mouse, the build quality is awful, it has a 3325 with the largest LOD out of any 3325 sensor I&#39;ve ever used with side buttons that have the most pre-travel I&#39;ve ever seen, my mouse button 5 literally goes into the shell by quite a bit before it clicks.</p>

<p>It&#39;s bad. Stop recommending it!</p>

<h1>Software</h1>

<p>Really nicely done, it&#39;s easy to navigate, one downside is that you DO have to install it to raise the polling rate above 500Hz, as its 500 by default, but Delux seem like a trustworthy company so I don&#39;t mind installing it, just to be sure though, I created a firewall blocker for it, it is really easy and I&#39;ll leave some steps below!</p>

<p>Also, sometimes it ticks mouse acceleration and changes your mouse cursor from the normal 6/11, so just double-check it hasn&#39;t done any of that.</p>

<p>If you&#39;ve read this far, I&#39;m assuming you&#39;re partly interested in this mouse/knowing the performance of it, please for the love of God, do yourself a favour and don&#39;t buy the A725 (Office mouse type sensor) or the 3325 version (decent, but LOD issues are bad) and just get the 3389, its amazing, especially for the price.</p>

Delux M700 Review - PMW 3389

 There are might be better-suited mice out there so look around before you buy.  Size/shape: 4 It's a shape that is narrower at the front than the back, actually, the back seems quite large. I was able to readjust my grip style and was able to play well. There are also no finger grooves on the buttons

  Weight: 5 Not much to say, very light and throwable compared to my G502 and is on par with my G402 and G503.  Sensor: 4 As with the rest of the mouse, it has a good enough sensor and tracks reasonably well. I didn't have any problems in game, but always felt like the mouse was a little off to me. The weirdness might just be the M1/M2 heavy actuations

 I've been playing for years and I was able to play well using the Rival 100. I would recommend this to someone who is not very serious about gaming or someone on a tight budget. There are might be better-suited mice out there so look around before you buy.  Size/shape: 4 It's a shape that is narrower at the front than the back, actually, the back seems quite large
