High noise floor Seriously, unless you're a veteran in the podcast or voiceover field and can list five solid reasons for purchasing the SM7B (none of which includes "the look"), don't buy this microphone. This mic ignores ALL OTHER NOISE EXCEPT YOUR VOICE. Its incredible you can downright whisper to this mic and it will pick it up and everyone you’re talking to can hear you. but if you clap, you drop something, stub your toe, type on your keyboard, click with your mouse, it picks up none of that.
