The scroll wheel is pretty good. It is nicely tensioned with good well defined steps. Scrolling isn't too loud and overall feels nice to touch. Pressing the scroll wheel is a bit tougher than other mice but that could be a good or bad thing depending on who you are and what games you play

1 - eventually internal battery will run out - or fail - for basilisk ultimate..by now they probably have fixed some issues with the charging Dock that plagued the first few batches.

- Batteries die way too fast, it seems it only lasts half as long as the Chakram (my guess is like 4 days of constant daily use working from home). Sure it's a good deal lighter but the Chakram also has wireless charging and probably just heavier construction.

I just got a Razer Basilisk V2 and I'm a bit torn on whether to return it or not. I'm coming from a Zowie EC1 evo, which I've loved but I've felt is a bit small for me. Don't think my hands are especially big (19/12cm) but I wanted to try something larger now that my Zowie started double-clicking.

They feel perfect for me. I just wish they were bigger. I sometimes find myself searching for them. If I could put the side massive side buttons from the Kone Pro Air onto this mouse with the same click feel, they would be absolutely perfect

I don't play competitive FPS anymore, so I can't talk much about its accuracy or performance but it definitely didn't hinder my play at all. It is way more comfortable than the G903 (obviously), and I feel as if I can hold it all day using a claw grip. The wire doesn't get intrusive, and this is coming from someone who used a wireless mouse primarily before! All in all, this mouse really fit, and exceeded, my needs.

2 The Thumb rest is a bit over engineered, pro-longed sessions of the user might result in soreness of the side of the thumb from sitting on the resting spot, it has no padding of any kind to mitigate this. just a thin textured rubber surface. 3 DPI this is the first mouse I've used that does not allow dynamic Up and/or Down on the fly adjustment, it is just sequential 1,2,3,4 and 5. you cannot go up 2, then down 1

Also of note is that the steelseries pc software is one of the more buggier third party apps I've experienced. At a certain point I needed to jump through hoops to get the mouse to update the DPI profiles properly like rapidly switching back and forth between bluetooth and radio in order to get the software to finally push the updated config to the mouse. So where does that leave you? Well, it's a crapshoot like 9 out of 10 modern "gaming" products. These companies cut corners somewhere, and usually a safe bet for them is to skimp on quality control
