The best is definitely the Tacx Neo, not the Flux. But the reason people like the kickr so much is the extra things that intelligently combined with it. The kickr climb and the fan - both change their behavior depending on your riding

I have the Elite Direto and it sounds very similar to what you describe with the Wahoo. Just FYI. 

Much quieter than my old Fluid2 on wheel trainer though

I got myself one 6 weeks ago as an upgrade for the Tacx flux but I don’t see a big different at all. I was expecting reduced noise In the house and more stability at lower gears.
However the wahoo makes similar if not more noise and vibrates when doing low cadence workouts.
Is this normal?
I am reaching out to wahoo to ask for a replacement or get a refund for a new trainer but not sure what to get.
Elite? Or the Tacx again?
