Despite these issues, we really came to love the realistic and immersive cycling experience this bike and the iFit app offer and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to feel trapped in a studio.

If you buy the S22i, I recommend eventually swapping out the stock pedals with a pair you can clip into for added riding efficiency (it's compatible with all standard road bike pedals and seats).&nbsp;

 The good news is that I was able to fix these issues by simply restarting the bike (unplugging it then plugging it back in), and it has since worked flawlessly in several live and on-demand classes.&nbsp;

In terms of design, the S22i is fairly compact, measuring 55.0 by 21.9 by 56.9 inches (LWH), and its maximum recommended rider weight is 350 pounds

Let's start with the interface. At the bottom of the S22i's main iFit screen, there are tabs for Home, Calendar, Create, Browse, and On-Air. 

NordicTrack Commercial S22i Studio Cycle Review

 It is one of the nicer features that I found as far as just keeping that comfort level there. It works great, it's not overly loud sounds like a fan and it does have multiple levels, so you can change it to your comfort level as you ride in off so turn it off. So very nice little feature simple, but beneficial and while we're here, let's also talk about the location of the included three pound weights. I love it and I hate it

 What they do is that when you change the incline starts tilting your back you're kind of heading up. What they also do is change the magnet, so it goes closer, so they're increasing the resistance, which means, as you change incline, they're, changing the resistance to give you that feel, like you're, really going up a hill. So it's neat that they at least they make that change. It'S not just an incline change

 You know not really able to be able push you that hard kind of fall off at the top end and, to be perfectly honest with you, this matches the best I've tested. I was thoroughly surprised at how good the resistance was. It is realistic. It feels good

 I don't know, but none of the other bikes it made me feel so or anything like that. But this one did - and I just don't feel like to see as quite as good as the others, maybe not quite as much cushion the way it's cut out. Just a little different you'll, probably adapt it you'll probably get used to it, but just keep in mind you might find yourself wanting a different seat, or at least putting some type of cushion around it, whether that's padded, shorts or a padded seat cover you might want To improve that a little bit, because this is one of the rough receipts that I've tested now when it comes to the pedals, they're dual sided me and they have a flat side like a regular bicycle and then, when you flip of a cage, you can put Your foot in tighten it down and you can pull up on the upstroke as well that all works great. I have no complaints, but as far as the way they decided to build us, I wish they would have included clip-in pedals, clippin, pedals security of the bike

Nordictrack S22i Studio Cycle Review (From A Peloton Guy)

 It'S bulky, it's heavy! It'S hard to move it's just not my favorite of the bikes, but i'm also probably being too harsh because it gets the job done and a lot of people thoroughly enjoy the experience that you get on this. So that's just me being very nitpicky, but it gets the job done. Next up is one of the most important categories and that's the ride, quality and we'll start with the resistance, and i think this bike competes with all of the rest. It has great range meaning you can go from easy to medium to challenging and you have a lot of control there, but also they have a very good top-end resistance setup

 It is heavy and i was very happy to see it get done and i didn't have to worry about it, so that was a pro from ordering from nor to track, but regardless of what direction you want to go, i have links in the description down below. So check those out if you want to look into this bike. Next is the bike itself and personally i've never been the biggest fan. It'S plasticky

 So the people that experienced a lot of problems - hopefully we're not seeing near as many of those with this bike as they have addressed those and before we do that. I want to talk about a supporter of this channel, the amino co and their perform lineup. Now, when you get back to working out or when you are working out hard, you tax your muscles a lot and sometimes the next day. You don't feel ready to tackle that same exercise at the level you want, or sometimes you just feel sore

 So when i go to future exercises, i feel ready to go at them and i can even do more. I seem to have more endurance, more ability to push through workouts and just get more out of them. Well, i'm not feeling sore all the time, and i think my favorite thing is that i'm not stacking a bunch of things together to try to get the results. I need

NordicTrack S22i (2021 VERSION!!!) - Have They Fixed This Thing???

 FYI, comparable cost for Peloton would have been $2245 for bike, plus $39/month membership, so $2713 for 1 yr (before taxes). Standard Peloton comes with 1 yr service so adding another 2 yr would be $230. Even without any additional service contract, the first year with membership for NordicTrack is $1999 vs $2713 Peloton (all before taxes), so the NordicTrack is a savings of ~$700 compared with Peloton for the first year. After the 1st year, monthly fees are $33 for iFit ($396/yr) and for Peloton $39/mo ($468/yr) or $72/year cheaper

  The Details… Cost: I purchased on Amazon for $1999+tax (free delivery with Prime). I also added 3 yr service contract for $249, so total of $2248 ($2436 with all taxes). NordicTrack direct typically offers in-home setup for additional fee, but home assembly was not available during pandemic anyway, so I chose the self-assembly and it was easy to assemble. For overall costs, NordicTrack also includes iFit membership free for first year, a $396 value

 The touch screen also barely works. These two things combined result in an awful experience. I'd say on average, it takes me between 5 and 10 "taps" on the screen to actually get it to respond. Since the software is slow, it's also hard to know if the hardware understood the tap and it's just waiting for the software, or I need to tap again

 I think if the software was designed correctly, they would indicate if something was loading by showing a little spinny cursor or something. To get to a ride, you have to click on a ride to view the details, then click Start Ride, then click Agree to some disclaimer every time, then click Start to end the onscreen warmup, then you're finally riding. It probably takes over a minute to do all this because the touch screen is so unresponsive.  My overall opinion of this bike is it's worth keeping simply because the actual experience when you finally make it to a workout is so good

 I don't know if these things are just manufactured off or what, but nothing lines up correctly and the simplest thing is a battle against any patience you may have. Putting in the arm that holds up the screen was even more ridiculous. At one point, I was 99.9% convinced that they sent us the wrong screw or something, and we were just about to head down to Home Depot to look for the right one

 It probably takes over a minute to do all this because the touch screen is so unresponsive.  My overall opinion of this bike is it's worth keeping simply because the actual experience when you finally make it to a workout is so good. It's a fun bike and iFit owns a lot of fantastic content. The trainers are awesome! Now I want to travel to some of these places as well! The bike quality, though difficult to assemble, is pretty good

 The UX design needs a ton of work, but hopefully they can change that through software updates. The quality of the iFit website itself is absolutely awful, and they probably need to scrap the whole thing and go for a complete rewrite. Since there's a pretty good community of riders, I think there's hope for iFit and NordicTrack to make a fantastic product so I'm sticking with it for now.  Final thing, if you own this bike, I'd highly recommend joining the "Nordictrack S22i Studio Cycle Riders Group" on Facebook

Fantastic device with fun workouts, but software experience is awful

Considerable research went into my decision to buy the S22i in October. Having been advised for orthopedic reasons to quit running after 20 ultra marathons and over 25 marathons, I wanted a reliable, yet challenging bike. Friends raved about Peloton, but I'm not a spin class fan and had a spin bike with "the knob". I liked the S22i's automatic resistance and pitch adjustments combined with video real bike rides in various places and terrains

Great Bike, but too many defects and TERRIBLE customer support

 As regular road riders, it's so nice to have this bike to ride when the weather is unfavorable or at night time. We use to dislike our indoor trainers because of the boredom, not so now with the s22i. We never get bored and the time flies bye as we ride along with trainers in places all over the world. So, to finish and conclude, we love this bike

  Computer and Software I am guessing that they used the cheapest processor they could find when they designed this thing. Software and computer are severly under powered. The interface should be liquid smooth when you are scrolling, not this choppy thing. Video should have been 60 fps in HEVC ensuring quality while keeping bandwidth low

 Frame rates are terrible. At times it looks like its not even hitting 12 fps. You notice it especially when they show the scenic views. Choppy and pixelated

 They need to greatly increase the power of the interface. In this day where we all carry smart phones that have liquid smooth navigation and displays, the interface of this system is going to annoy most. Its at this point I started to really question if I was getting my $2k worth from this bike. On top of that the navigation is not the most intuative

$2K should not have these kind of design flaws.  Avoid this bike.

 Okay, so the flux at $750, that is a pretty good entry level direct drive trainer. That is fully compatible with Zwift and trainer road or any other app that support ANT plus FEC or smart Bluetooth connectivity. So if you're looking to get into the direct drive trainer at $750, that is pretty good price. The only thing about this trainer is the legs, I cannot fold the legs for storage or if you want to move around, it's going to be a little bit hard to do that with this trainer

 Now in ERG mode, the same thing, it was within range and it was quick to respond. So here's a workout that I did, a 10 minute interval workout. And as you see, all three 10 minute intervals were within target, were just within about one to two watts from my P1 pedal or Power2Max. And the other thing I noticed with the flux, it was very quick to respond in ERG mode to interval changes

 And as you see, the trainer was responding very, very fast. Now on the rest intervals, it had a hard time bringing me down to my target watt and I had that target watt set pretty low, below 100 watts just to see if the trainer can get me there. The hard time bringing me below 150 watts, even though I was on the smaller ring. But that is the same thing they had with the previous flux

 So then the first thing you'll notice is the Flux 2 does have the support more power up to 2000 watts, does have a little bit of a better accuracy. Slope is a lot better, 15% compared to 10% with the Flux S. The flywheel is a little bit heavier and it does come with a 142 and 148 millimeter adapters and the overall weight is a little bit heavier just because of the flywheel weight. The price of the Flux 2 is $900, so you're talking about $150 saving when getting into the Flux S
