Standard Peloton comes with 1 yr service so adding another 2 yr would be $230. Even without any additional service contract, the first year with membership for NordicTrack is $1999 vs $2713 Peloton (all before taxes), so the NordicTrack is a savings of ~$700 compared with Peloton for the first year. After the 1st year, monthly fees are $33 for iFit ($396/yr) and for Peloton $39/mo ($468/yr) or $72/year cheaper

The touch screen also barely works. These two things combined result in an awful experience. I'd say on average, it takes me between 5 and 10 "taps" on the screen to actually get it to respond. Since the software is slow, it's also hard to know if the hardware understood the tap and it's just waiting for the software, or I need to tap again

But that could be said for any home exercise equipment. The bigger draw with Peloton was the built-in competitive element of it: seeing that leaderboard somehow did make me pedal harder. And despite being alone in my living room, it effectively simulated a “real” cycling class, for lack of a better description. They need to greatly increase the power of the interface. In this day where we all carry smart phones that have liquid smooth navigation and displays, the interface of this system is going to annoy most. Its at this point I started to really question if I was getting my $2k worth from this bike. On top of that the navigation is not the most intuative
