 we've got a door back here and all you have to do to really either get privacy or protect you from some weather is take these windows and put them up so you can put them up on both sides. And this back door is really convenient too. So as you can see, we've got that waterproof fabric there in front of the door. We haven't just rolled back kind of halfway, but you can open this up all the way to you, roll back that side and you've got more breathability there

 We've got the partition wall rollback so you can see the rest of the tent here and something that I really like is the different ways to use this tent. So as you can see, we've got big mesh windows here. we've got a door back here and all you have to do to really either get privacy or protect you from some weather is take these windows and put them up so you can put them up on both sides. And this back door is really convenient too

 as you can see I'm in the corner of the tent and I have all the room that I need so you can really get up to six campers in here. but I can see this being a great tent for a smaller number of people that really just want to spread out. with all of the features that you get here. you've got the modular design

Oh just saw the 8' requirement. The Marmot Torreya 6p, Bjg Agnes Bunk House 6p and Nemo Wagontop 6p would closely met this requirement.

I’ve been looking for a while now after finding out my new Roll A Cot doesn’t fit in my current ancient tent. I was looking at 6-person tents because that seemed to guarantee the right size, but no matter the price point they all have horrid reviews. Do people like ANY tents at this point?

Looking for an instant tent with at least 8’ sides for car camping

 I had a general idea of the size and chose the 6P so it would easily accommodate the queen size blow up mattress that we have, that 10 years ago I would have made fun of us for having, and also enough room for our Labrador retriever who is always muddy and wet to spread out in without getting our stuff wet and muddy. There is also a great screened in porch that is big enough for friends to sit in and hang out in while hiding from the bugs.

I need some help deciding on a 4p freestanding tent for car camping. I'll mostly be camping in California so a 3 season tent is fine for me with decent protection from the elements. I'm stuck between 3 options at the moment: Big Agnes Big house 4, TNF Wawona 4, and Marmont Tungsten. I also looked at the REI Trail Hut 4 but I could not find any reviews for it, although I liked the included footprint.

Decided to splurge and get a nicer tent, the must was that it had a vestibule and was tall. This tent is amazing. It fits our family perfectly, my husband is tall and has no issue inside the tent. Overall it is such a well thought out tent

 The extra pockets for storage, the tie backs, the loops to hang lines or more storage. Easy to set up, super sturdy, and super quality. I dont have any complaints.

Best tent I have owned

I cannot tell you how much we loved our Galaxy tent! But the time has come to upgrade to something a bit bigger (we are 5'8 & 6'2). 

-	You need space. I see how it will be a struggle in some campsites with dense trees.

And third, setting up the tent is more complicated than with a freestanding model, so we recommend practicing before heading out to make sure you know how to get a taut, even pitch. I want bug protection and rain protection because I don't like bugs (f ticks) and sleeping out gives me the creeps sometimes, so not really into the tarp and bivy. It seems to me like the Zpacks Duplex (occasionally bring my wife or a friend) would be a good option, being 19oz and having bug and rain protection integrated (not a tarp or bivy system, so it's simpler i.e. one piece)

Gossamer The Two vs. Zpacks Duplex

 One of the biggest benefits to the Dynamo material is that it's waterproof. This tent is 100 waterproof. I've never had any sort of leaking. I've had no issues

 You don't have to worry about the coatings aging and having to be reapplied. There's very little here with this tint that's going to age and that's not the case with copycat versions of this tent. I know that I've said a lot in regards to this tent, so let me wrap this up. in the end: this is a very impressive tint

Everyone Copies This Tent For A Reason - Zpacks Duplex Ultralight Tent Review

 So I won't go into any more specs on it because I'm sure you can find a lot of information out there about it. Let's talk about my opinion of this tent after 3,000 miles on the trail and what I like about it and what I don't like about it. So first off, obviously what I love about the tent is how insanely lightweight and roomy it is. As far as I'm concerned, it is the only tent that is this big that has this much room and is that low in weight

ZPacks Duplex 3,000+ Mile Review

 However, the ONE thing that is bad about BOTH tents is the way the end tie outs are sewn and sealed. The tents BOTH leak at the tie out points. This is due to the way they are sealed. It seams as if the seam seal was applied FIRST and then the tie outs sewn into the fabric

UPADATED AGAIN: I have purchased both the 1 and 2 person tent. Seems like very well quality and lightweight. However, the ONE thing that is bad about BOTH tents is the way the end tie outs are sewn and sealed. The tents BOTH leak at the tie out points

 The tent leaked at both ends where the tie outs are sewn into the fabric. These points are seam sealed, so I do not know why or how it leaked at both points. The water on the floor of the tent was about the size of a quarter. I have since sprayed all of the fly seams and the tie out points with silicone treatment

Very lightweight.

 So we just/\s/want to lower that down and make sure you're/\s/ not getting rain splatter and wind coming/\s/into the tent so we'll just open the doors. We'll take our trekking poles which/\s/are set to around 120 centimeters now/\s/ Zpax recommends 122. But for a storm pitch you/\s/can come down to 110 or maybe even lower and/\s/ you can see that just brought us down a bunch. So/\s/now we'll just tighten this guy line a little bit/\s/ redo our doors, tighten our doors, you can/\s/see how much lower that even brought us/\s/ Now if we go ahead and do the same to the other/\s/side or we could technically even bring this lower/\s/ and we could bring yeah, if it was really storm and/\s/then we'd want to bring this in basically as tight/\s/ as you can for the doors

 Don't just stuff them door flaps in guy/\s/lines to the middle mosquito net tucked under. Now we like to float it in thirds first wind. a little more complicated when it's/\s/windy just tuck that back in there so we're folding thirds and/\s/then pull it into the middle, squish the air out again. make sure that/\s/everything is like tucked inside
