I found Montreal Assembly Count to 5 (which is a micro looper/granular delay type thing) to work best before my fuzz and drive!

Maybe you love a little pre-dirt reverb (I know I certainly do). Maybe you enjoy wallowing in your own filth by running delay into dirt (proper hygiene is for cowards). Maybe you listened to a lot of Tool growing up, took a page out of Adam Jones' playbook, and run flanger into delay (PRYING OPEN MY THIRD EYE, PRYING OPEN MY THIRD EYE, PRYING OPEN MY THIRD EYE). Maybe you're really hungry, so you make a delay-looper-delay sandwich (mmm, tasty...). As always I'm just going to be playing straight into the front of my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe on clean with everything being captured by a Shure SM57 microphone with no additional post eq-ing and for any additional pedals that I might use I'll make a note on screen
