 but huge bummer that it arrives damaged.  You need to order additional ink cartridges or a bottle because the ink it comes with will be exploded and unusable due to the rigors of shipping.

Its a fantastic pen, I'm keeping it.  But it arrived with a messy, exploded ink cartridge. Got ink everywhere. can't really use the case now because it's soaked in ink

A Goid Pen But......Buy Extra Ink

  I actually want to like this pen. If this pen performed the way it feels this would be my go to pen. However, I did say if. As it turns out, it writes just OK but not what I would call good

 Like I said I really do want to like this pen and there are so many good reviews of this pen that I am thinking about buying another one just to see if maybe I happened to get a bad one.

On the plus side I like the looks, size and weight of this pen. It's a little heavier than a lot of other pens but I like the weight, it feels solid and well made. Also, my pen has a medium nib but it seems to write closer to somewhere between fine and medium. I have read that the Japanese nibs tend to be a little finer that most German or American nibs and that seems to be the case here

Pen is decent.

 For me this is a negative; I wanted somethin hefty in my hand.  The nib is supposed to be a medium sized, but it rights like the fine nib pen that I tested. It still wrote smoothly and consistently. It did not catch on the paper or snag

Ink Reserve is Not Good

**Pilot Metropolitan** - pretty good, better ones for the price. I bought my metro for 15$ and was kind of satisfied.

  Pros: - Feels really good weight wise (very hefty for a pen). - Top Cover / top clicks very nicely to the base (feels very good to play with while thinking). - Fancy (10 points for Gryffindor?) - Easy to refill (I'm using the cartridges, takes 15 seconds to swap out the cartridge and makes very little, if any mess doing so). - Replacement cartridges are cheap (12 for ~$6), runs about the same (maybe a little less) than a pack of ballpoint pens

Medium Bleed through paper, have to have at a very specific angle to write.
