Monoprice Premium Hi-Fi DJ Style vs Sennheiser HD 6XX

Decided noise cancellation was only nice on an airplane, and I preferred wired, donl't have to turn on or charge. If you have eyeglasses or hearing aides like I do, these are perfact. Yes I have expensive Sony noise canceling blue tooth, but the HD5XX are just in a different class, use all day, gaming, general listening. Plugged directly into Gigabyte Z690 Master mobo, no need for a DAC/amp here

These Monoprice cans are mostly just--low. Even the cleaner mps or songs I ripped from my own cd collection just don't sound loud at all. The vocals and music are a little muddled as well. Maybe these are great for some but for me they're just ok

Overall though what I found was that the 4XX kind of was a little bit in no-man's land between the two. It didn't have the impact and bass of the DT88...

Purchased to replace a pair of Sony over the ear headphones that lost sound in one side (loose wire where it goes into the headphone) I work on computers programming 8+hrs a day and listen to music while I work. I prefer noise cancelling headphones to help drown out the chatter in an office type setting which can be distracting when you are trying to concentrate. While these are OK for noise cancellation, they don't drown out 100% of the external sounds if nothing is playing through them. The sound is amazing compared to the Sony's I swapped them out for at half the price

In fact, I'm so happy with the quality of the sound (which blows away my next nicest pair) that I'm already looking forward to finding something new. My setup is simple: Schiit Stack (Magni 3+ & Modi). I currently own: Audio Technica M50x (my first baby), Sennheiser HD 6XX, and the DT 1990s.

If I ever hear back from Monoprice, I will update this review. This review is in regards to the 108323 Model. To start, these are cheap for a reason. I've owned them for the better part of a year and the pad material is cracking and the left ear swivel pops out of place so that it sits at an angle from my head. My biggest complaint is that I use these while working so I'm constantly looking down at papers and side to side while using dual monitors, and these things CREAK

I used these things mercilessly for 15 years, gaming and even sleeping with them on. They still work like new. You cannot go wrong with Sennheiser HD6xx or 58x series cans.

You can only use the microphone over bluetooth, which sounds absolutely awful. I've tested this with many devices and spent hours troubleshooting. You cannot use the microphone when the cable is plugged in.

They really shine with audiobooks, studying/focus, and shows/movies. I usually prefer wired headphones like Sennheiser 6XX for music but for noise cancellation and the rich bass, these make an excellent wireless bluetooth option!! Focus/study will be improved for sure wearing them. No issues with any genres I can tell, better than most Bluetooth cans out there.
