Is the quest 2 worth getting if I don’t have a pc?

I've had it for a week now and I've been surprised at how good it is, here's a random list of thoughts on things I liked:

* The audio is fine. I'm used to the fancy valve index audio, but tbh the audio from the quest 2 headset is also completely fine, and I like being more easily able to talk to people around me irl.

As an owner of a valve index, I am massively impressed by my new Quest 2

- **Oculus Link**, 1.7x resolution in Oculus software, and set to 500 Mbps bitrate in debug tool, it looks crispy, no compression artifacts, looks like it came through a native DisplayPort cable. The official Link cable is very soft and easy to maneuver with. Setup is actually easier than the Rift S: plug in just one cable

 Getting **consistently lowest possible latency** is very important for enjoyable gameplay. The freedom of not being tethered and still play your PC games is the best part here. 

About the same as Rift S, way better than the Reverb G2 which ate through TWO AA batteries for EACH controller very quickly.

- I first went for the TP-Link AX1500 as per recommendations here, but it seems that the newest hardware revision is really bad for latency (I was getting latency spikes on the WIRED side with this router). 

Quest 2 PC VR impressions (after having used Rift S and HP Reverb G2)

 I installed this strap setup and the headaches are pretty much entirely gone. I've played for at least one full charge every day since I got this product and played for ~12 hours (including a charge break) the day before writing this review and the difference is beyond night and day. The worst thing I've experienced is occasionally a hair might get tugged but that has happened maybe once or twice so far.  The strap and back pad are nice and soft

When I first got my Quest 2 headset the straps that came with it gave me headaches every time I played and severely limited my play time unless I was feeling stubborn enough to deal with the pain. It'd be a safe bet after 2-3 hours of play (basically nothing for me), and sometimes much less than that, I'd have a pretty severe headache for the rest of the day. I installed this strap setup and the headaches are pretty much entirely gone. I've played for at least one full charge every day since I got this product and played for ~12 hours (including a charge break) the day before writing this review and the difference is beyond night and day

 Do yourself a favor and ditch the elastic straps your headset likely came with and buy one of these today.

If you get a quest 2 this should be the first accessory you buy.

 I didn't actually realize just how much visual quality I was missing with the old strap.  I would definitely recommend this head strap as an upgrade to the stock strap.

My face doesn't hurt anymore.

 They feel simultaneously too small, and yet too big. The nubby handles results in my pinkie finger wrapping around the bottom (think that picture of Andre the Giant holding a can of beer), but the huge-ass grip button means my middle finger isn't wrapped firmly around the controller, so I'm holding it with the two weakest fingers on the human hand. The plastic feels cheap and makes me sweat a lot, the bulky sensor ring makes it feel top-heavy and like it will topple out of my hands if I don't hold on (even though it actually won't). 

So anyway, that's my thoughts on the Quest 2 from the perspective of a long-time player of PC VR! I thought Quest 2 fans might be interested to read them!

Semi-related to controllers, but I love how there's sensors on the sides of the headset which lets you do stuff by tapping them. It feels very natural and gives you two extra forms of input that don't need to be crammed onto the controller. You can sorta do this with the Index but putting the controllers near your head and gripping/pulling the trigger, but this is much better.

.. knowing that once you're comfortable, it's going to stay that way.  This upgrade singlehandedly improved my experience to the point that I could easily double or triple the length of my gaming sessions just because of the comfort difference

 If that's a concern, I'd look into something shaped a little differently (Such as the BOBOVR M2, which I personally found to be really unbalanced and uncomfortable - but I'm told that adding weight to the back helps. Do with that information what you will.)  I personally prefer using some high-quality earbuds (or even just the stock speakers) so this doesn't impact my score at all - but I find it worth mentioning.  2

 I mean, everyone knows that the "Official" products are better, right?  Not this time.  The stock strap is always either too loose or too tight and, after a little while, it just starts to loosen up on its own..

 On to the review:  This is easily the first accessory that any Quest 2 owner should pick up.  I generally avoid 3rd-party accessories for gaming hardware. So, the Quest 2 is a steal!  It's a cheap headset that's good enough, and since Facebook is subsidizing the cost, you really can't beat it's value!  

IMO, you really can't beat the value of the $300 Quest 2.  The G2 really isn't twice as good and the Vive Pro 2 won't be 4 times as good.  If you're price concious, this is what you're going to get.  

So, a buddy of mine has a Quest 2, and brought it by. Don't get me wrong, it was really neat, but when I learned that Facebook owns your soul if you own one of these, I was very put off.

Now the Vive Pro 2 was announced, but it's almost 3x the price.

I'm wondering if there's a comparison writeup or video that explains the major differences between the hardware to help me make a better decision on which to buy.

Unless someone here can relay some argument points to compare the two units.

Hoping for some unbiased information if possible.
