 They look the same But I'm telling you Spend the extra money and you'll have a razor for a life that you love Treat it good. Make sure every time you use a wipe it down. It is, you know chrome But this to me is one of my favorite razors Once you get done using it Wipe it off put it in a garage treat it good like you would your sports car and This thing will perform endlessly for you now as far as blades All you do is you just Lift up the top the blade sits right here. Okay I'll put this back on to show you just snaps into place one of these sides has an indent and One of the sides is like flush So literally just lift it off Right here and That blade will be sitting on top So right there I've got an Astra green right now in SP So there's a spring in here and that just keeps it so it's easy to put on Put off clicks in place simple Amazing engineering amazing razor

 That's a sharp blade if you try to Twist this with wet hands during a shave and your finger slit. They're gonna go right through that blade Okay, I've shaved very many times with this I'm very comfortable with it and it's happened to me one time once that's it Because I just thought oh, yeah, I know this thing but Aside from that when you adjust it be very careful And adjust it with dry hands, okay, just be aware of that blade. So you have this blade gap Right here and Adjust it up Show you on setting six how much Blade gap there is those channels in between that are going to make sure That there's plenty of room for the whiskers to go and it just slices them off your face and You know the shaving cream You know shave soap lather, whatever that's gonna just flow right out that channel So easily But yeah, setting six, there's nothing that'll this thing won't cut I mean, I have no question if I was to just Take this here one pass it wipe right off Setting one It'll do more than you think it will do on setting one. I promise you that So it's a great place to start And it will give you everything you ever need in between It's made in Germany

 So this is the chrome version. This is the Merkur future and Let me just give you some really up-close Views here It is weighted very nice where it indents. That's where the center of balance is on this razor This razor is very weighty. Okay, it is Definitely on the hefty side for razors So if you do not like hefty razors, this is not the razor for you However, if you're like me you love them So what this razor is besides sexy sleek smooth is a Fantastic shaver and a lot of that is in part to the weight of the razor

 I'm back with a video review and this time I'm looking at the Merkur Future Adjustable Safety Razor. This is an absolutely wonderful razor, let's get right to it. This is a heavy weight razor, this is probably one of the heaviest razors I have in my collection now, really, really very heavy, very substantial, built like a tank, yet it's very well balanced. When you hold it in the indentation handle area right here, this little indentation handle, when you hold it in there, it just feels right in the hand, really, really very, very nice

 Highly chromed to a mirror polish, absolutely beautiful, and it's got this space age razor head and cap here that really is very, very efficient and does a great job in giving you a terrific, terrific shape. Also has an adjustment right here on the collar, you can see right there I have it set to one and the way you adjust it is just by holding the ends of the razor cap here and then, see if I can get that in focus, holding the ends of the razor cap here and just turning the handle so you can turn it up and really turn up the aggression of your shave. So there I'm at four right now. And it does a terrific job, if I turn it all the way up to six, you can see how big that blade gap has gotten, and then of course turn it back down

Honestly, it's because wet shaving is amazing not only do you get a better shave by using an actual razor blade in this guy here I'll show you how you put the razor blade in there But not only do you get a better shave using one of these guys than you would with one of those little Gillette monstrosities or a You know an electric razor, but it's way way cheaper too like by a huge freaking margin We'll talk about that in a little bit here, but um the wet shaving is just amazing And if you aren't shaving with one of these guys yet, you're doing it wrong And you need to be so there you go And then finally want to make this a quick review because there's not that much to say about it And yeah, so anyways let's go ahead and talk about what's good about this guy, and what's not so good about this guy First off on the good side. It does shave very well I mean given that's partly a function of the blade itself I tend to use feather blades which are really obscenely sharp But some people are more comfortable with a slightly less sharp blade than the feathers are Um the feathers will cut you open the first time you use it be careful about that But nonetheless no matter the blade you're using this shaves very well Um absolutely no doubt this can give you a very very very nice shave absolutely 100% Next thing this little gap under here. I am looking for a durable, long lasting razor for shaving my face. I have to shave frequently (ever day or so) for work and I feel bad using disposable razors due to the wastefulness of the product. 

Does anyone know of any good razors that you can still buy in stores today? I want one that provides a good shave and holds up over time. I do understand that Ill have to change out the blades from time to time because blades get dull or rust. Any feedback or recommendations are appreciated!

Men’s Razor (for shaving face)

First time using a safety razor after switching up from the three blade. Definitely treats my skin better and I'm enjoying creating less plastic waste.

As a beginner, I found this to be very heavy in comparison. That's fine, but I think my next purchase will be something with a longer handle. Combining the weight with a short handle makes this thing a little crazy to hang on to, especially if it's wet. I'm betting that this will just take some getting used to

Excellent change of pace

 Shower before, soak razor and brush in warn (not hot) water in sink, apply shaving cream and even if your technique is not perfect this razor is very forgiving. Only strict word of advice is don’t press hard. Just let the razor do the work. If you get that angle right it takes almost no pressure for the razor to do it’s thing

 Using an astra green package blade and doing two clumsy, downward light passes with this 34c worked just fine for me. Be gentle to your skin for the rest of the day after the shave and it’ll improve your chances of looking good in the days after.

 Coming from the person who never thought shaving was for me I don’t say this lightly, this razor is just what you need. And it’ll last forever.

 Reminds me of a time from long ago. I almost didn't shave the first time as I was so worried that I was going to Nick myself and walk around looking like a 14 year old kid with band aids- but that didn't happen-- I followed all the good advice from other reviews and went at it.
