If that "walkman" were yellow that would almost a retro future look.   Dog ate my portapros back in 2010 and I haven't to this day replaced them.  Earbuds became more convenient when I was on the move.

So I got the Porta Pros

 So this is the 1AM2. Now this is how it looks sitting on. It sits very comfortably to the side. It's very light

 So if you're a big fan of Sony, I think these are great. You may need to pick up a pair of jacks, maybe one or two, if you're going different places and you're going to plug it into a system. That would be, I think, the only drawback, but the design is nice, the price is great, the quality itself, this is actually not leather, they made a point of saying that I think it's a plant leather, but it's still, I think, somewhat synthetic, but that's okay. The 1 inch cushions is very nice, and it's actually memory foam

 Sony has just released a new pair of headphones that I'm super excited to talk to you about.

 These are the MDR-1AM, and it's the second version of it, so it's the MDR-1AM-2, and

 these are some of the lightest high fidelity headphones that you could probably buy.

 This is really slim, this is a very slim design headset, it's very light too, and there's

 actually not much that comes with the set, it comes in a huge box, this is a very big

 box for so little inside, but this is the box, you have the container there, and of

 this, but the headset is very nice, it's super, super light, I have a couple of pair of headphones

 that I'm going to review these against, but of the three, this is definitely the lightest

 Now I do have a problem with this, because this particular jack is actually in between

 the standard 35 millimeter and the 1 eighth jack.

 So you're gonna have to buy an adapter if you're going to play it in a system like this.

 So I did do that, but I have a lot of things hanging around.

 So you may have to make an investment of maybe 10 bucks and get a connector on Amazon that

 actually fits this so it can go into your home theater system.

 Okay, other than that, and actually I think that somebody else had mentioned that they

 were a little bit ticked at the price that they should have added that jack as well.

 Okay, but having put that aside, why would you spend almost 200 bucks for this if you're

 not getting this before any of these sales?

 Quite frankly, this is actually one of the best headsets that you're going to get on

 I've got a Denon, which is right here, which I love, and this is my go-to if I want to

 I love the sound that this produces with bass-heavy music.

 And I also have, and this is actually a closed headset as well, just like the Solis.

 And I also have a pair of Phillips Fidelio, which is semi-open, so there is some spatial

 So it's not fully closed, it's partially closed, so you're going to hear some sound out of

 Now, the reason why you'd have either a semi-open or an open-back headset is if you want to

 listen to classical or if you want to listen to live music, the spatial reproduction is

 superb and it actually makes you sound, it makes listening to the recording as if you're

 actually in a theater or you're at a concert.

 So you have different pair of headsets for different things.

 So that's why I have the Phillips Fidelio.
