 I Want to be clear that I'm not feeling in any way unstable here though. and I also want to point out that relative to most all foam mattresses again, particularly the ones that contain a lot of memory foam, this is actually less dip than we're accustomed to seeing. And you particularly notice this when I lay down on the edge of the mattress and I always get my shoulder blade right on the edge to be consistent. And what I can tell you is that I feel relatively stable here

 And then the third thing they've done is in that same top layer, they've used gel swirls, which again, gel is a conductor so it can help pull that heat away from your body a little bit. and I Guess the last point I would make relative to a traditional memory foam mattress is that this mattress doesn't conform to your body quite as closely as certainly as most memory foam mattresses that have four and a half inches of memory foam would and that has to do with this this quilting layer on the top which which by definition due to its undulations introduce greater points of contact between your body and the air which allows heat to more efficiently escape your body. So all think all those things being factored in this mattress in general if not going to sleep as hot as many other memory foam mattresses like it. Another concern for some people is the degree of natural materials in the mattress or maybe just the lack of harmful chemicals

 In terms of the cost, the current price of a luminous mattress in a queen-size is 1099, and on top of that, you're going to pay a $99 delivery charge, and you also have the option of adding a matching foundation or what some people might call a box spring although there aren't any springs in it for an additional two hundred and fifty dollars. And in terms of what you're getting for that, you're getting what's billed as a twelve inch mattress, but it's actually more like a 13 inch mattress when you consider the additional inch of loft that the company really doesn't give itself credit for. And at the top of this mattress, you're getting four to four and a half inches of what we would consider to be premium comfort and pressure relieving interior. Specifically, that memory-foam that we talked about

 It's not surprising there being four and a half inches of memory foam in the mattress that there wouldn't be pressure points I would I would say the memory: the pressure relief may not be quite as good as it would be if the memory foam were up on top without this quilting layer, but it's still very good. I'm just seeing some yellow and some green on my shoulders and my hips. It's a good match for side sleeping no red on those areas so should be a good match for you as well as a side sleeper and finally moving to my stomach Here Again, this is really that important for pressure relief, but just looking at it all the same, some nice even blue across most of the mattress and also under my, uh, my rib cage. there's a little bit of green, not too surprising if you sleep with a partner

I really like the tempurpedic luxe breeze but my husband doesn’t love the price and I’ve read some mixed reviews about their durability. A latex hybrid is going to sleep much cooler since latex has an open cell structure which breathes to allow air circulation. You should try to check out a latex hybrid to see if you like the feel and what firmness level you prefer, but there are some better choices in latex hybrid than the Nest model which also uses some PU foam. I'd suggest looking into Sleep EZ, Arizona Premium Mattress, or Flexus Comfort for better options in latex hybrids at very reasonable prices

I used to be a broke student when I bought this, but I'm now able to 'upgrade' and spend up to $1,600 on a mattress. I'm an averaged sized side and stomach sleeper and I don't move much in my sleep. I run very hot when sleeping, so much so that I sometimes turn on the AC even when it's freezing out in February. My partner is an average sized back, side and stomach sleeper and he rolls around quite a bit while asleep.

I'm considering buying either the Saatva Loom and Leaf or Nest Latex Hybrid. Are these the right choices for me? Anything else I should consider? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks so much.

 You do sink in just a little bit. The coils, as you can see, are individually wrapped, so while they will give you some really nice firm support and bounce to the mattress, they're going to move independently. It's not going to be the same steel coil in a spring mattress you might be thinking of. It's going to be better at isolating motion transfer than a traditional in a spring mattress would be

 However, there's really firm support from the coil base below that. I did a really nice job of keeping my hips from sinking too far into the mattress, keeping my spine aligned in a good position when I was on my back, really comfortable for back sleepers in my opinion. As I'm changing positions, I don't feel stuck in the mattress at all. I think there's really great bounce thanks to that pocketed coil support layer below

 I'm going to put it through a few tests, tell you what the mattress is made of. At the end, I'll give you my pros and cons. To start out, let's jump in and talk about what it feels like. The first thing I want to talk about with the feel of the Silk and Snow Hybrid Mattress is the firmness level or support level of the mattress

 For stomach sleepers, I find that a mattress in this firmness range is really great. I generally think that some sleepers are going to need to find really firm mattresses to keep their hips in line with their shoulders, keep their spine aligned in that good position. Again, back sleepers, stomach sleepers, I think you're going to like the firm support level here on the Silk & Snow Hybrid. I think side sleepers are going to want to find something with a plusher feel so you can sink deeper into bed

Silk and Snow Hybrid Mattress Review - Is It Right For You?

Full refund expected, no complaints here. I have just pulled the trigger on the Silk&Snow Hybrid mattress, in the hopes of getting that 'sinking in feeling' on the top, but with more lumbar / torso support overnight.

 My lower back is going to be supported any position. So in that regard, even though it is a medium-firm feel, it's a very versatile mattress. In terms of sleeping hot, you're not going to sink into the mattress too much, so there's not going to be much material to surround you to trap any heat, and I found the top to be very breathable. It's a nice stretch fabric cover, very breathable at that top layer

 A lot of people don't like mattresses where you kind of get up to go to the bathroom, and you get out of bed, and it feels like you're going to slip off the mattress. With this one, you can sit or sleep right up to the edge and maximize the use of the mattress. It's a very well thought-out design, and again, keep in mind, all these materials are sourced in Canada, so if you're buying this product, you're really supporting Canadian companies. Overall, I give the Silk and Snow Hybrid a medium-firm feel

 Underneath that, you have a four-pound density layer of foam, and that is a pretty dense foam layer, so they really only had to use one foam layer because it's really good quality. Underneath that, you'll find a pocketed coil system, and when you get into the king size, you have over 1,200 individually wrapped coils, and those coils all operate independent of one another, so there's not going to be as much motion transfer. There's not going to be the push-pull because as one coil goes down, it won't affect the other coil. In addition, the middle of the mattress is actually zoned for more support, so you're going to get better support for your lower back, and conversely, the upper and lower half are a little bit softer, so you're going to get more pressure relief for your shoulders

While the Silk & Snow uses cooling gel in its top layer, the foam in the Tuft & Needle mattress is made with ceramic cooling gel beads and graphite for extra heat absorption. Couples shouldn't notice their partner's minor shifts throughout the night. However, they could be disturbed by larger movements such as getting in or out of the bed. Our testing found the coils of the Silk and Snow prevent the edge from compressing too much, and most people should feel comfortable sitting or sleeping near the edge

 Stomach sleepers need a firm surface to prevent their mid-sections from sagging and from pulling their spines out of alignment. And in our test, the Silk and Snow fared well with light and mid-weight stomach sleepers. The mattress was firm enough to support proper alignment, but soft enough to allow for some body contouring. We found heavier stomach sleepers were not as well supported on this hybrid, as their mid-sections sank too far to provide a comfortable night's sleep
