When I slept on the mattress, it was way too firm. Although I ordered the firm mattress, I have two others, so I know what it is supposed to feel like. It should have a 2-inch top layer of memory foam. In this case, that layer felt like it was compressed and did not respond like typical memory foam

Third, it doesn't retain heat the way my previous mattresses did. I'm no longer waking up feeling like I'm baking in an oven. This was a great purchase and a real bargain (I loved a Tempurpedic Cloud I tried at a store but the $3300 price tag was a non-starter) and I highly recommend it.

I really like the tempurpedic luxe breeze but my husband doesn’t love the price and I’ve read some mixed reviews about their durability. Can anyone recommend any mattresses that might have a similar feel? I like the soft version. Or should I just pull the trigger… we’ve also considered just adding a tempurpedic topper to another bed but not sure what one would produce a similar feel. Another site said the loom & leaf is similar to the Lux breeze but they only have firm options it seems like, not sure how that compares to the soft tempur

Overall, I like the mattress and find it comfortable for most nights. However, even after sleeping on it for several months, I would not call it anywhere near soft. It is more of a firm mattress. Thankfully, I am generally not bothered by it unless I end up in the same position for too long because I'm overtired

The Loom & Leaf sleeps very hot so I don't think that would be a good option for you. A latex hybrid is going to sleep much cooler since latex has an open cell structure which breathes to allow air circulation. You should try to check out a latex hybrid to see if you like the feel and what firmness level you prefer, but there are some better choices in latex hybrid than the Nest model which also uses some PU foam. I'd suggest looking into Sleep EZ, Arizona Premium Mattress, or Flexus Comfort for better options in latex hybrids at very reasonable prices

I picked the Cocoon because many reviews said it was comfortable and does a good job at cooling. I stay hot 100% of the time which is why the cooling tech drew me towards the Cocoon. I normally sweat in my sleep and i hope this mattress helps. But i was wonder if there is a general concensus on a mattress protector that will not effect the cooling effect of the mattress?
