 In more mixed and darker scenes, on the other hand, the OLEDs superior contrast again won out. Keeping with the nature theme, I switched my Apple TV back to 4K HDR mode and checked out the amazing-looking Our Planet: Coastal Seas on Netflix. From the brilliant colors of the reef to the dark recesses behind the swarms of sharks I saw the same themes: an overall edge to the OLED TVs despite the TCL's brighter image. Netflix's nature documentary didn't show as much HDR punch and detail as the reference disc in general, and for that reason the TCL's brilliance didn't make as much of an impact

 The main “ENTER button is awkward because it has a scroll function on it (for scrolling on internet and “quick scroll for channels) and it should be placed higher up on the device (ergonomically speaking). Remote is a bit small for my hand and I am not a man. I have yet to find a “last channel” button :-( It has a RETURN button, but it doesn’t do what I would expect. And you have to go to another screen or channel up or down to view “program info”

 It will take some research to find out how secure my information is through LG. I am fairly new to the SMART TV world other than using my ROKU, and Firestick to access streaming media, so forgive this 62 year old (somewhat techy) lady for being a bit cautious.   The above setting tweaks could have made me almost happy if it weren't for some software bugs, I presume. Sometimes, when I turn on the tv, it seems to have forgotten some of the values and resets them to factory default. This is very annoying but I am confident that LG will sort that out with a software update eventually.  Where this tv has much improved is in the sound department

 Forget the AI SOUND in the settings, it's rubbish!  The smart features of the tv also have gotten an upgrade. With this newer version of WebOS, I am finally able to use Alexa or Google assistant as well as being able to stream from my Apple and Google devices. It makes things handy since I no longer have to connect any external smart boxes such as Apple TV or my NVIDIA Shield.  Overall, the tv is still better than any LCD LED-lit based tv

 This is very annoying but I am confident that LG will sort that out with a software update eventually.  Where this tv has much improved is in the sound department. Once you find the equalizer settings and tweak them to your liking, you may not want to hook up a soundbar. Of course, the built-in speakers won't replace a giant surround sound system but, with the correct settings, you get a very nice sound with even decent bass

 I understand it's there to protect the display but it's really not a good way to go with a tv if it needs to do that. The built-in speakers are pretty much trash. If you watch any episodic tv shows or movies you will want to add something that gives you better sound options. I've experienced these speakers clipping out quite often even when the volume is below 50%

 If you nudge the wheel in the slightest while trying to hit the button, the D-pad cursor is erased and the motion cursor pops up, ready to immediately misclick whatever it happens to be pointing at at the time. Fortunately, the TV has an IR receiver and is fully supported by my 12-year old Harmony remote, so I'll hopefully never need to touch the remote again. - Likely stemming from WebOS's roots as a touch-based interface for phones, some items (such as bringing up series details in the Hulu PP) are brought up by long-pressing the OK button. Even Roku players, which bring minimalism in remote design to an art form, have a dedicated button for such things

An amazing OLED panel makes up for poor design & UI

MY PC GAMING EXPERIENCE :  rtx 3080 ftw ultra intel 10700k strix z490 mobo corsair 150 aio 32gb ram Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable  My biggest hurdle gaming with this tv was setting up 120hz refresh rate. So in the nvidia control panel in the resolution section the 4k 120hz setting was all the way at the bottom resolution scale, kind of hidden, had to scroll all the way down past the lower resolutions to find it. I was getting a crazy amount of tearing until I did this. You could probably mess with all the settings all day until you find what you like

 You have to have the money available at the time of the notice and act quickly. got it at msrp.+ tax. lucky day

pc gaming with rtx 3080

 Why it needs so many software patches, I do not know, I guess I'm glad it continues to receive support but it is concerning / annoying to say the least. Also, for $3k I would hope for a higher refresh rate, at least 240Hz which this TV is not. PC games look ok but could look worlds smoother with a faster response time.

 Furthermore, the speaker unit on the lower half of the screen is bulky and prevents the TV from being place close to a wall, which would take advantage of the thinness.  Second nitpick is the nature of the remote - in an age where most remotes have learned that less buttons are better, this remote has ALL the buttons, a scroll wheel, and a Wii-style waggle-cursor. It looks like something from 2008. Functionally, it's fine, and the waggle-function is growing on me

 So it's just great to remember that this TV does support automatic adjustments to a varying soundtrack effortlessly in the background without me having to do a thing. I feel this worked best when switching from a quiet conversation to a fight scene in a movie for example. Picking up the change and levelling out the sound as quick as the action on screen with incredible accuracy. Here's a quick sound sample to give you an idea of the level of quality on offer here

 Now the S95B does contain some pretty amazing sound features that you'll find in most of the 2022 Samsung TV line up. It has so many internal speakers firing in multiple directions to deliver a 3D sound effect that's rich and spatially aware. It seems like we're seeing the return of some of the Samsung exclusive features from last year but more specifically I love seeing the adaptive features like adaptive sound plus, object tracking sound and active voice amplifier. I don't watch the same type of content every time so I don't want to have to keep changing the sound settings with each genre

 First off, it gets brighter than nearly any other OLED TV on the market and not just pure white brightness which can tip the meter at nearly 1200 nits in HDR or about 500 nits in SDR, both very impressive numbers, but it's the color brightness that really sets this TV apart. Eventually, I figured out a happy medium where I could alter the Xbox settings just enough to get good peak brightness without washing out the picture and good shadow detail without making the blacks look milky gray. But it was not easy. And I can see a lot of folks just doing what this screen tells them to do and then thinking their games look like hot trash
