It's a fantastic choice for gamers, thanks to its wide range of gaming features. Like the Samsung TV, it supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth on all four of its HDMI ports and supports both FreeSync and G-SYNC variable refresh rates (VRR), ensuring a nearly tear-free gaming experience from any source that supports VRR. That said, it's not as good as the Samsung S95B OLED in a bright room, so if you're looking for something that can handle a bit more glare, check out the Samsung QN90B QLED instead.  If you are primarily a gamer or content consumer, you're mostly going to be watching dynamic content – the C2 gets a big tick. But if you want to use this for actual desktop applications and productivity work, it's not well suited to that, and I wouldn't recommend it for those people. For the content consumers, the C2 ticks nearly every box. It's extremely fast thanks to the elite response times of an OLED, and it has excellent variable refresh rate support

With Game Optimizer enabled, the C2 has an input lag of just 5 milliseconds (ms), well below the 10ms threshold we use to determine if a TV is among the best for gaming. The biggest bonus is the much better out of black performance with just above black shadow detail being far more noticeable with no issues of black flashing or blockiness. Motion is also improved with excellent 24 frames per second playback adding to the cinematic images on display with HDR content

 It's not anything special for TV speakers but it's not bad either. It doesn't produce much bass which is normal for a TV. It doesn't get as loud as the LG C1 but it's still loud enough for a noisy room. However if you want the best sound possible get a soundbar or invest in a proper surround sound setup

 The biggest knock to it is that the TV feels wobbly on the stand but this obviously isn't a problem if you wall mount it. Now onto our test results. We'll start with the contrast. Keeping with the nature theme, I switched my Apple TV back to 4K HDR mode and checked out the amazing-looking Our Planet: Coastal Seas on Netflix. From the brilliant colors of the reef to the dark recesses behind the swarms of sharks I saw the same themes: an overall edge to the OLED TVs despite the TCL's brighter image. Netflix's nature documentary didn't show as much HDR punch and detail as the reference disc in general, and for that reason the TCL's brilliance didn't make as much of an impact

 The main “ENTER button is awkward because it has a scroll function on it (for scrolling on internet and “quick scroll for channels) and it should be placed higher up on the device (ergonomically speaking). Remote is a bit small for my hand and I am not a man. I have yet to find a “last channel” button :-( It has a RETURN button, but it doesn’t do what I would expect. And you have to go to another screen or channel up or down to view “program info”

  The above setting tweaks could have made me almost happy if it weren't for some software bugs, I presume. Sometimes, when I turn on the tv, it seems to have forgotten some of the values and resets them to factory default. This is very annoying but I am confident that LG will sort that out with a software update eventually.  Where this tv has much improved is in the sound department

 Forget the AI SOUND in the settings, it's rubbish!  The smart features of the tv also have gotten an upgrade. With this newer version of WebOS, I am finally able to use Alexa or Google assistant as well as being able to stream from my Apple and Google devices. It makes things handy since I no longer have to connect any external smart boxes such as Apple TV or my NVIDIA Shield.  Overall, the tv is still better than any LCD LED-lit based tv

 This is very annoying but I am confident that LG will sort that out with a software update eventually.  Where this tv has much improved is in the sound department. Once you find the equalizer settings and tweak them to your liking, you may not want to hook up a soundbar. Of course, the built-in speakers won't replace a giant surround sound system but, with the correct settings, you get a very nice sound with even decent bass
