There aren't any OLED TVs available at a budget price point, but the LG A2 OLED comes close. It's an excellent TV, delivering similar picture quality to the more expensive OLED TVs on this list, but it lacks all of the advanced features found on the other models.  I can’t really run an Ethernet cable through the wall, so I need to make a decision fast.

 Sound is impressive. Google TV works great and the Live OTA guide with ATSC3.0 is really cool. But I’m considering returning it since I’m facing a quite annoying know issue with Wi-Fi turning off or losing connection almost every day

Amazing contrast but constant Wi-Fi issues

The HDMI 2.1 ports support up to 120Hz in 4K HDR and are compatible with variable refresh rate (VRR), but there is a catch: like all Sony displays right now, VRR is only promised for an undefined “future” firmware update and is not currently enabled. If you’re planning to game with a PlayStation 5, this isn&#x27;t a big deal since the PS5 doesn’t support VRR yet either. But if you’re using an Xbox, it certainly bears consideration

 Get a sound bar or better yet, a true sound system. A great display like this deserves that kind of quality audio. 

 Unlike Vizio, Samsung, or TCL, Sony continues to create remotes that offer buyers the ability to control just about everything, and as such have a button to do just about anything. The company still includes the number pad, for example, and there is a giant blank space at the bottom that is likely included as a grip which expands the height of the controller even further. A Plague Tale in particular looks remarkable. 

Audio quality of this television is better than many other thin displays on the market, but it’s still not one I would recommend for those who like quality sound. Audio sounds like it is coming directly at you from the screen – because it is: Sony uses a technology that plays sound through the display itself. With certain Sony soundbar systems, the display can even be used as a center channel in a multi-speaker system.

 “Custom” is essentially the TV intelligently calibrating to whatever you’re watching, and it works beautifully! Then there’s a dedicated “Netflix Calibrated Mode” which is Netflix perfected, as well as “IMAX Enhanced” which is mainly for Sony’s Bravia Core service that offers titles in IMAX quality with DTS. Both of which might be exclusive to Sony TVs. I don’t know of any other TV manufacturer that has them.  The sound this TV produces is also really good

 It tells you as soon as you calibrate HDR on the PS5 that it’s done it for you. You don’t have to touch anything!  I don’t know of any other TV manufacturer that has them.  The sound this TV produces is also really good. There are actuators behind the panel that vibrate to produce sound with pinpoint on-screen accuracy and incredible crispness! I personally have Sony’s A7000 sound system(bought with the LG, HIGHLY RECOMMEND) so the TV is used as a center channel. Fantastic!  Finally, the A80J uses Google TV OS and I must say, it’s great! The UI is very intuitive

Can’t beat Sony!

 But would you use your Tv as a center channel? I wonder how it sounds versus an average speaker? I'll have to give it a whirl, but both of these items are missing on the A80j. And last but not least, on the differences is that remote. I've already spoken about it, but if you're in the dark, I'd highly recommend that backlit remote for any Sony Tv. It's pretty nice, and I hope more Tv companies catch on to the backlit remote

 I'm gonna go over the look and the features of this Adj showing some of the differences from the A90j as well as how it compares to the Lg G1 Gallery Oled that I just happen to have it mounted above the A80j. So a lot of good stuff here and at the end I'll draw some lines and help you decide if you should buy the Sony 880j. Make sure to smash the like button when you get a chance.  So to try this out, we're going to go to settings, account and sign in, our account, we're going to remove the account, and as you can see here, the only option you get is to remove the account and reset the device. So that's what happens when we do that. I can already tell the picture settings changed. So now that we're signed out, or I guess it's going to restart real quick

 So to test this out, we change the hue in the color settings to something that's quite awful, just so we notice an immediate difference once we sign out of the TV to see if it saved the settings or not. As you can see here, hue is all the way up to 50. So to try this out, we're going to go to settings, account and sign in, our account, we're going to remove the account, and as you can see here, the only option you get is to remove the account and reset the device. So that's what happens when we do that

 After testing the popular Sony A90J, we bought and tested the Sony A80J.

 It's a lower-end model compared to the A90J, so how does it perform in comparison?

 It's still an OLED, so of course it delivers exceptional picture quality,

 but like its older brother, it still lacks some gaming features that we normally see on high-end

 Like with all of our reviews, we buy and test the products ourselves,

 in this case the 55-inch A80J. But it's also available in 65 and 77 inches as well.

 Let's start off with the design. The Sony A80J has a premium style that looks similar to the

 higher-end A90J from the front. It's a bit thicker than the A90J, but shouldn't stick

 out much if you wall-mount it. Overall, the TV should look nice in any setup.
