 There's a color version and a monochrome version. This is an extremely versatile and well-rounded camera. So here's what I want to talk about in this video. So the Q2 was released in March of 2019

 but I also think that you can control this a little bit With the new metering mode that they've given you for highlight priority. So image quality on here is absolutely outstanding. Reason number three would be versatility. So the way that this camera works is like it takes advantage of this high resolution and you have these crop modes that you can work within

 This is a very unique lens. You're not going to find it anywhere else in Leica's lineup. What also is special about this lens? Not only is it extremely sharp, but it does have a macro function so you can twist the front part of the lens go into macro mode. You combine this with the crop modes and you can get some really interesting macro shots

Is the Leica Q2 worth it in 2022?

 Hey, it's Jordan being filmed on the Leica Q2 in Cinema 4k, which actually looks pretty decent, but unfortunately it's basically useless as this camera has no ports, just an SD card slot and a battery door on it as well. It only shoots in program, auto exposure and this is a camera for people who know what they're doing. You're not gonna be hands-on with this camera, it's a shame. Decent quality, beautiful lens, but I don't think anyone should be using this for higher-end video

 If you were to buy a 28 millimeter 1.7 Leica M lens, it probably will a more expensive than this entire system. So considering the image quality that we're getting, the experience that we're getting, and the fact that the camera is fun to use if you've got the budget for it, that might make this Q2 something that you're really gonna enjoy taking photos with. Now of course this is just our first impressions of this full production camera, but we will eventually have on DP review comm full lab tests, Then you can really get down and see what you think about the image quality compared to a lot of the stuff out there and maybe even explanation of why that JPEG color is crappy in our opinion

 The tactile response is excellent I Like the aperture dial feels like a classic like M lens. The manual focus is buttery smooth and it's really easy to click in to autofocus the macro dial. It's easy to turn back and forth. The only thing I would say is there's no click stop so you might have it halfway through

 And the photos that you get despite kind of crappy JPEG color once tweaked the way you like it are phenomenal. That has to be appreciated. This is a lot like you know the Sony Rx1r 2 and how it was also able to pair a lens perfectly with a sensor. Consider to that

This compact point-and-shoot is for vloggers, with a lightweight body that you can carry around for long periods with minimal fatigue. Its small handgrip and well-spaced controls make it comfortable to use even when holding it in a selfie position. There's even a detachable windscreen for its microphone to help cut down on wind noise when shooting outdoors.

This camera's built-in lens is optically stabilized. Combined with its electronic stabilization feature, the camera does an excellent job of smoothing out camera shake when recording handheld. Its autofocus system delivers exceptional tracking performance in both FHD and 4k recording. It even has dedicated tracking modes for either human or animal subjects. In 'Product Showcase' mode, the camera is capable of swapping focus from faces to objects held up within the frame, and a dedicated 'Background Defocus' function instantly adjusts lens aperture from f/5.6 to f/1.8 or vice versa, allowing for quick swaps between a deep or shallow depth of field.

Unfortunately, like most compact cameras, it can overheat during long recording sessions. Like the Sony RX100 VII, it uses an Np-BX1 battery, which doesn't supply a very long runtime. Thankfully, the camera can be charged while in use via its USB-C port, which is handy if you want to plug into an external power source or have a mobile battery charging pack. Overall, its compact size, superb autofocus system, and wide variety of video features make it one of the best compact cameras for travel that we've tested.

If you don't want the bulk of an interchangeable lens camera, consider the Sony ZV-1, which is one of the best compact vlogging cameras we've tested. Designed with vloggers in mind, this point-and-shoot camera comes with a detachable windscreen for its built-in microphone to reduce background noise. It also has a fully articulated screen, allowing you to flip the screen around to face you without obstructing the mic or any attached cables.

The camera is fairly comfortable to use, and its lightweight, compact design makes it easy to shoot in busier areas without drawing attention. It has a fantastic phase-detect autofocus system that supports eye detection and tracking. There's also a helpful 'Product Showcase' setting for beauty and product vloggers that automatically refocuses to an object held up in frame without you having to block your face from view. This camera can shoot FHD video at up to 120 fps, great for generating smooth slow-motion clips. It can also shoot 4k video at either 24 or 30 fps with only a minor 1.12x crop. This premium camera aimed specifically at vloggers features several vlogging-friendly design elements, including a fully articulated screen that you can flip around to face you and a detachable windscreen for its built-in microphone to help reduce wind noise when shooting outdoors. Its built-in lens also offers a bit of zoom range if you want to adjust your framing or zoom in on a subject.

Video quality is amazing when shooting in more controlled lighting conditions in 4k resolution. Though low-light and FHD video quality are inferior, FHD still looks decent in well-lit environments. The camera also has an incredibly effective autofocus system that easily tracks moving subjects and keeps them in focus. It supports both face and eye tracking, and it even has vlog-specific settings like a 'Product Showcase' feature for product vloggers that's supposed to quickly switch focus to objects held up in the frame.

Overall, it has a disappointing battery life, though it supports USB charging, and you can keep using it while it charges, which is handy if you have a portable battery pack. That said, its small sensor means worse overall video quality, especially in low-light situations, although 4k video still looks great overall and is more than suitable for vlogging. Unfortunately, though, the camera's battery life is very limited, and there's a 5-minute recording time limit in 4k to prevent overheating, so it's mostly just suitable for shorter videos.

Get the Fujifilm if you want a more advanced vlogging camera with better internal recording specs and video quality. If portability is your top priority, the Sony is a solid alternative with an excellent autofocus system.

The autofocus, in general, is excellent and reliable at tracking moving subjects, and the video quality is surprisingly good, despite its smaller one-inch sensor. The biggest trade-off here is battery life and heat management, but that's normal for a point-and-shoot camera like this. Overall, it's still a great option if you need something more compact.

While the previous picks are more photography-oriented, travel vloggers should take note of the Sony ZV-1, which is specifically for vlogging and is hands-down the best small travel camera for this use.  It is a huge misstep, but this cameras, touchscreen, is only for focusing. But I find it's a great compromise. If you want decent color a little more dynamic range without having to switch to s log 2 & 3, which, with the 8 bit codec in this, I do find, can give you some real issues with banding waxy skin tones. The real standout for me is that Sony's combining a very bright lens with the extremely good real-time autofocus

 Those are lots like about the design of this camera. It is very lightweight. It'S a very clean, simple, looking body, the grip, although very basic, actually does a great job, whether I'm holding the camera away from me or towards me. I don't feel like I'm gon na drop it nice big buttons that are easy to find

Why is this so terrible? How did ya'll screw us on every conceivable way of transferring files from this camera?  I'm so torn on whether to keep this camera despite all those terrible heinous design choices the company made
