I have had my queen size Layla Hybrid for almost a year and I am still very happy. The mattress has held up well. I use the firm side, which has been great for me as a 5'10", 190 lb side sleeper with minor shoulder and hip issues.

If I did purchase another Zinus I would however do a few things differently. I would immediately get a mattress cover. I would also rotate the mattress regularly to reduce wear. I believe memory foam shows wear far worse than traditional mattresses

I think I like that Sealy Norman Hybrid, but read some "low quality" concerns from Sealy and wanna stear away from MF (even though it does come with an adjustable base, I'll probably never use it). I keep getting caught up in layers of foam, thinking that some of the brands with only 2-3 layers are suckers, or that Tufts and Needle doesn't count because it's not actual memory foam (original TF is 740 for a king right now). I just want something that is hopefully great from the first go, and has a refund policy I can trust if I need it (which is apparently not a given with Nectar or Zinus).

Don't let the price difference fool you into thinking Leesa is therefore better, it is worse if you seek a cloud to sleep on. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because I have slept on "slightly" more comfortable mattresses in my life. But those mattresses cost over 2500 dollars and should not be compared to a 200 dollar mattress.

I also run very hot when I sleep and have a fan on me 365 days a year and have found that this mattress does not trap in heat or make me more hot than usual and is good at keeping me cool throughout the night. Overall it was a great purchase and the only thing I cannot speak on at this point is the longevity.

She like firm and I like soft, some how this mattress is a perfect fit for us both. The one compliant I have is that the mattress is not true to size, we have a king and the dimensions of our mattress is a couple inches smaller than standard king size dimensions. We addressed this with the company and after sending a few pictures, they replaced the mattress, BUT the new mattress is again slightly smaller than standard king size dimensions. This has no affect on the comfort level, but it does look odd on our platform bed

Yes, I paid extra for the extra inches and it is a bit annoying to not actually get them. On the other hand, the 10-inch mattress likely would not have expanded to a full 10 inches, so it's really just kind of misleading. I have seen reviews that show the mattress at a full 12-inches, so it is possible, just not likely I suppose. That is the first thing I will say because I feel it is a very important thing to note right off the bat

After my review below, I removed the mattress from my bedroom and put it back out in the ventilated area in hopes that the smell would eventually recede and the mattress would continue to expand to it's full size. Unfortunately, there was really no discernible change in expansion or in the terrible odor during that time. So, I decided to start the return process, and was, quite frankly, expecting to accept the fact that I had wasted my money with this purchase. Honestly, I could not have been more wrong
