 Maybe just a bad blade but was disappointed when my older super took broke the screw loose and no damage to the blade. Same model used to get the job done.

Very heavy product to be taking on backpacking trips.  All the tools were definitely not needed.  Weight of item is very heavy and if attached to belt can be troublesome.  Better off just having a survival knife rather than taking a whole toolbox with you

 Surely the materials of the tools are made of some high-grade steel and have a lower degree of oxidation resistance, right? Whatever, nothing is perfect. It's probably a marketing ploy where just the case is stainless so they can claim so in the title.  Except were far from perfect here. Looking for more rust, I spot it on the frame as well

NOT stainless, NOT what you expect from Leatherman

 I snapped one of the blades on my beloved SAK years ago (as I would later learn, SAK blades are much softer steel than most knives) and they wanted the price of the knife just to fix it. No thank you.  Stay American made, get a Leatherman. Get the Super Tool 300 unless you absolutely need instant access to the blades

  This all being said, this is a great tool and recommended as an EDC (every day carry). Much tougher and more durable than a Swiss Army Knife (don't waste your time with these, Victorinox fans are either pansies or just don't know any better). The only advantage you'll find on a SAK is the bottle opener. You'll be much happier going American made with the Leatherman

 This thing is ridiculously heavy and cumbersome especially in the stupid sheath. It feels like carrying around a small brick.

 It was loose and the two handles would rattle and open quite freely especially in the sheath. How utterly annoying.

 This is a really bad sheath guys, not a good design. The sheath will only fit a narrow belt. The sheath is a poor design for outdoor activity and EDC (forget about that). If I was in the Army I'd forget about it otherwise you're gonna look and your tool will be gone

 The sheath that I received with my tool is to bulky and after it gets loosened up I have heard it will not retain you tool very well which means you have the potential to lose your tool. I highly suggest buying a separate sheath. I would suggest the LARGE MOLLE SHEATH that Leatherman makes and ships with some of there Military tools. You can buy it directly form Leatherman for $15 +shipping but i'm sure you could find it on Amazon as well

 The first thing I did was open the tool up to see the pliers. They are quite robust and I am very pleased with the heft of them. I also love the replaceable wire cutters. I think Leatherman should start making this standard on all there tools with pliers

 I rather have a "clumping" Super Tool 300 than no 300. This tool is quite large and would for many be to big to carry on a belt every day. I find this more relevant when referring to the sheath that comes with the tool. While I knew what I was getting int he sheath department before I ordered they only provide the Super Tool 300 with two different HORRIBLE sheaths

The Outdoor Edge SlideWinder is a compact knife that is easy to keep on hand. At just 1/4 inch thick and sporting a pocket clip, there's no reason not to carry this multi-tool on your person every day. The blade is easy to swap, and the built-in Phillips and flathead screwdrivers work well, particularly when compared to other multi-tools in the class.
Although the stainless steel frame is sufficiently sturdy, the blade carriage lock is an issue. We found it to be stiff and not always reliable. For those with larger hands, you may find this tool only allows for a three-finger grip, making prolonged use uncomfortable. Lastly, a nominal concern &#40;albeit an important one after 5 o'clock&#41; is the onboard bottle opener. It will work, but its narrow mouth struggles to bite into bottle caps.  It's very cheap feeling, and the knife will easily go back in with slight inward force on the blade. That being said, this is a utility blade not a knife. Realistically you are going to grabbing it out of convenience to open some food, cut a thread off your clothes or bag, or something else extremely light duty.   Lock Security: 4/5 My only issue with the lock is that it is pretty easy to accidentally press the lock button during usage if you have your thumb anywhere but the top ridge. This is where your thumb is technically supposed to go, but occasionally I like to have mine on the side so I have run into this problem a few times.  Affordability: 5/5 At approximately ten dollars I find that this tool is a very appropriately priced item. It gives you a really solid tool that is easy to EDC for a very nice price

 This is not terribly uncomfortable it is just not always what I desire. Also the pocket clip does tend to dig a little bit if you angle it in your hand wrong.  Carrying ability: 5/5 The Slidewinder is a very small tool so it does not take up a significant amount of space or add weight. In addition, it also features a nice pocket clip which has allowed to to easily store in my coin pocket

Neat idea for a lil knife, but it’s action is disappointing.

 Boom zips it right back into place. It's a lot of fun to use. It's cool that the name that the slide winder I think it's a great appropriate name. The lock is decent for EDC tasks and it's a fun little mechanism to play lists so it absolutely does its job and for $10 I'm very happy with it

 A lot more blade exposed so I can use it I have a liner lock there like a pocketknife. Now it's more sharp and abrupt then this guy would be. This one's a little bit more contoured. you can just see there with my large size gloves

 Works great though. for basic you know Philips head tasks and then we have here your bottle cap opener. Now if you use this a lot, you are going to chew up the plastic on the other side here just so you can see that right there. I did chew up the plastic a little bit, but you do have that metal lip on the other side to use as a bottle cap opener and then you even have a little jimping right there
