Well this spatula will do the job, but it is clear that now that Rubbermaid is having their products made overseas that quality is nowhere near what it used to be. A very flimsy travesty of a formerly great product.

Nice spring. Cons: The front edge is somewhat sharp and, though tapered, still too blunt. You're definitely not going to use this turner on non-stick pans no matter how gentle you are. The second issue is the deal breaker for me

Was expecting a stiffer spatula. I work with stiffer dough and this spatula can't handle; but I like the "stand" on the handle to keep spatula off countertop.

My commercial spoons are now over 20 yrs old. I'll be very surprised if the Rubbermaids last as long. - Rubbermaid spoon is much lighter, but since I'm never actively using mine for more than a few minutes at any given time, this is a non-issue - Note in the photos below, the difference in handle thickness where the handle meets the spoon. The commercial spoon is MUCH sturdier and thicker there, than the Rubbermaid

I use this spat for everything not just fish! Three stars is because the item I received does not match the quality of other LamsonSharp tools I own (purchased elsewhere). it seemed like someting you'd find marked "cosmetic defect" - the rivets are dinged and not fitting flush and the handle is not finished cleanly on all edges. This item was purchased and reviewed without incentive or discount.

The plastic handle feels sturdy, and the scraper silicone end has just the right amount of flexibility. The only downside with the handle may be with arthritic users as it is thinner than some of the competitors. The way Rubbermade molded the spatula to the handle is superior to others I’ve tried. The oxo and most other spatulas seem to have removable silicone bits, which can cause food particles to get caught between the silicone and handle
