 If I use this on my hands, which are not dry and flaky then it does absorb nicely but I was looking for a face moisturizer to restore my skin barrier. I usually use aquaphor and that works beautifully for my dry, irritated skin but I hate the heavy feeling of it on my skin, especially during warmer months. I’m going to give DML Forte moisturizer since I’ve heard good things about that one as well. It contains panthenol but no zinc so maybe that’ll be better for my skin

 It's pretty much fragrance free. It doesn't really have a scent. It has a rich texture but it doesn't feel greasy. Is it like the most bougie product? No

 So today we're reviewing the Laroche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5.

 Did I hold that like Kendall Jenner? Cucumber vibes?

 So Laroche-Posay is a French pharmaceutical brand and they're known for making affordable, effective ingredients.

 I'm currently using one of their foaming gel cleansers and it's amazing.

 I especially love the probiotic moisturizer.

 Actually, funnily enough, this is going to sound real bougie, but I love their thermal spring water.

 I know it's just water in a can. I know that, but it's really good.

 I really use their sunscreen. I buy about five packs at the start of summer.

 That gets me through because my kids are always swimming.

 I do also use their hyaluronic acid and I have used their sheet masks before, too, before going out.

 I chose this product for everyone to try out because I just have heard a lot of good things about it.

 It is a really intense hydrating moisturizer.

 Everybody at AB absolutely raves about it and won't shut up about it.

 I have used this before. I reviewed it and road tested it for a BiQ article and I fell in love with it and now it's a staple in my routine.

 I remember going home, Snapchatting my friends and they're like, oh my God, yes, I love it.

 I've got quite dry skin, so I actually just found that it was really good for tackling Melbourne winter.

 I've just moved to Melbourne and the wind here is vicious, vicious.

 I feel like it did kind of just repair my skin a little bit from the trauma of the cold.

 It's very deeply hydrating, works well with my exfoliating acids, my beloved midnight reboot.

 And it just makes me feel so plump, juicy and well rested in the morning.

 I get an oily T-zone, so I don't really pop it there.

 But at night, especially in winter, I like drown my cheeks in this stuff.

 Like I drench it and my skin just, yeah, it really soaks it up.

 This works wonders if you have a cold and you know when you have a cold and you're blowing your nose constantly

 and it gets like sore and red and painful, this heals it right up.

 This little buddy of mine has got me out of some absolute pain in my life.

 I wake up and my skin is red raw, very tight.

 When I walked into the office one day, someone took one look at me and said,

 Because I need something very soft, but I also need something intense.

 So my dad actually experienced some like flaking and a bit of a like a beard rush.

 And I actually recommended and told him to try this.

 And he kind of popped someone at night every night for a week.

 Oh, and it sits really well under makeup as well.

 It does perform quite well under makeup, you just need to give it the time to sink in.

 I will say it does have a little bit of a white cast.

 So it's not, at least for me, going to be a moisturizer I'll wear during the day when I'm not wearing makeup.

 The white cast isn't terrible, it's just not ideal.

 So I have oily skin. I know Chloe also has oily skin and she really likes this.

 But I used it all over my whole face for a few days and then I started breaking out.

 You never really know for sure if it's the product or not or if it's like hormones or stress

 or if it's a different product I was using.

 But just to be safe, I'm probably not going to put it all over my whole face.

 I'm probably just going to keep using it when I get little dry bits.
