This particular product is more oily I would say. That gives you that silky finish and the texture of the product is shinier. So it comes from the oil

OP, if you have some La Roche Posay cicaplast B5 balm (i think that's the name), that will help almost immediately. I use it whenever I go.to far with exfoliating, or if I have a zit (takes care of it overnight). I've also used it for folliculitis cause by laser hair removal. I think there are other brands that also offer cica and zinc based balms (maybe someone else can comment with suggestions).

I agree, it looks like damaged moisture barrier. Don’t use anything harsh on you skin for a good few weeks. Use sunscreen, cleanse in the evening and use a good moisturiser and that’s it. La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 is brilliant for this.
