 I just again like the sound signature on this I think is a little bit more to my liking but the space the sense of space and sort of just the the overall quality of the sound I think is a little bit nicer on the ZSAs and then for me really it comes down to the fit and comfort I think these things look really cool I love this green look but the ZSAs they just fit and did disappear in my ear they're much easier to wear. If you're interested in checking out the ES-4s the ZSAs or even the ZS10s on Amazon I do have links in the description down below.  The AS10s were basically the same shape as the ZS10 but a little bit different and different enough that they actually fit pretty well for me. I'm curious to see how these will do. It seems like the stem on there is fairly long and yeah that bodes well. I found with some of the other KZ headphones that this cable I'm you know I'm not the biggest fan of and mostly it comes down to this Y connector which just has like these hard edges that tend to get caught on things and then I'm not really a big fan of this memory wire up here which you know I can understand why some people would like this

 The ZSA is just a little bit warmer of a sound which some people really like other people like a mid-forward sound personally. I generally prefer mid-forward sound. That said I do actually prefer the ZSAs and it's for different reasons okay. I think the ZSAs compared to the ES-4s just sound a little bit more open

 I've taken a look at the KZ ZSA, the KZ ZS10, and the KZ AS10 and they kind of range from 30 up to 70 dollars. This is the first headphone from KZ that I'm going to try out that is under 20 dollars. It's only 18 bucks in fact I even saw one of them on Amazon listed for 17 bucks which is pretty cheap and it still has a dynamic driver and a balanced armature driver so it's still like a dual driver headphone. I'm really interested to see how this sounds because for 18 bucks oh if I can get a nice sounding headphone for 18 bucks this is like an excellent stocking stuffer but I'm getting ahead of myself

KZ ES4 Super Review - vs. ZSA and ZS10

 For the fit it's just like all the other KZ earphones where it goes in my ears and it fits in there but I do have trouble keeping them from falling out. Now when it comes to comfort it is about average. I didn't notice these irritating my ears when using them except for obviously the ear hooks as I always complain about those. So overall these are a good pair of earphones for the price

 So that was my rough comparison between the ES-4s and the ZST Pros, I'll definitely need to delve a little bit deeper within the sound in order to tell the full differences. But honestly for the most part they both sound very similar with just some minor differences. I even go as far as to say that the differences are pretty much negligible. And if I haven't mentioned this earlier these are both dual driver earphones with basically the same setup

 I am hearing a lot of ZST Pros when it comes to the sound, it's very similar. So for the sound stage it is very good as well and then instrument separation is on point too, you really do get to hear the separation between the instruments. These are a brighter sounding pair of earphones, however not overwhelmingly or fatiguingly bright, just bright enough to get all those details within the highs. But with that you also do have some almost unnoticeable sibilance, it's sibilance at a minimum just like on the ZSTs

 So in my rough comparison between these ES-4s and then the ZST Pros I noticed that everything pretty much sounds the same except for on the ZST Pros I noticed that there is more, slightly more detail and the sound stage is more open. So the ZST Pros are louder than the ES-4s at the same volume levels and I'll probably get a lot of flack for saying that but honestly this is what my ears are picking up. Two things I will say though is that sound clarity is better on the ES-4s and also instrument separation is better as well. So again instrument separation and sound clarity is better on the ES-4s than on the ZSTs

KZ ES4 Review $18

 Quality control isn't good with KZ apparently. I'm not too well versed in audiophile lingo, but I suppose I'm more of a neutral sound guy that wants to be able to listen to all kinds of music. I've recently found Etymotic er2se's, which are regarded as one of the best sub $100 IEMs amongst the community, for 50$ and will compare when I receive them. If they're not what they're cracked up to be, then this IEM audiophile stuff is definitely not for me and it may not be for you either if you're just an average person like me

Never owned an IEM before, only regular earbuds (apple, samsung, urbanears). I bought these because I was under the impression that the sound quality was going to be better than any generic hand me downs or earbuds that come with phones. Wasn't really the case for me.  -Hissing sound when plugged in and not playing any audio -Noise cancellation is good when compared to my cheaper earbuds that I've been using for everything the past couple years

Fell for the exaggerated reviews on here and youtube.

Build quality, fit and finish: 4/10: Cheap feeling, empty looking, all plastic, weird uncomfortable shape (that somehow stays in better than my Arias? ), Bad 2 pin plug design, weird and kinda thick nozzle that makes adding and removing nozzles difficult. Stylized KZ logo is now a generic looking ES4 print on PCB on all newer models. Ugly glue job around DD inside.

  With the tips that came with, I'm not seeing much noise isolation - I can easily tune out people talking near me, but noticed the squeaky floors as much as when I'm not wearing anything in my ears.  Overall, these are probably better for people who have larger ear canals than I do.

 It helped that so many audiophiles seem to think they are good for the price. If I'm spending another $20 or to customize them and make them fit/feel better - I may as well have looked for a more comfortable $40-60 pair instead of paying roughly $20 for this one, at which point, they would not be an inexpensive pair I'm okay with loosing/breaking.  As far as the sound quality - they're better than the headphones that I have been using, but not so much that they make a huge difference. It's the sort of thing that I'd notice if I were paying more attention, but not if I'm doing other things while listening to music or whatever (as I usually am)

They're Okay. Mic didn't seem to work very well.

 An annoying noise is induced on the mic, sounds like RF from the phone. Bought another set of ES4s, night and day with cable, mic and sound quality. Found that putting a dab of CA(super glue) on the edge of the plugged in two pin connector keeps the earbud in place. Guess hot melt glue would also work well

 The KZ's seem to be more sensitive (louder) but do it with less distortion. I like the cord and fit, mic is clear as well. Just buy them, you wont regret it.  Edit Sept 2019

. Range is very limited, just putting my pbone(and several others) in my pocket would kill the signal. MIC also wasn't as clear to others.

I've been picky about sound quality since me teens. I'm 45 now, ears aren't as good as they used to be, can't hear above 14kHz but I still know good clean sound when I hear it. I listen to rock, metal, electronic, all files are high rez/SACD DSD if possible and are played through an LGV20 which is well known for possessing a good DAC/headphone amp. I bought these and the Shure SE215's at the same time

 It's minimalist, it's clean, it's simple. Anyway, it has a pretty simple layout in its design and really really a standard wireless bluetooth earphone kind of design. It has two earphones, obviously, and two pods that contain the internals of the device, the battery and the controls. On the left pod, you have the controls of the device, the charging port and a microphone for calls

I tried the Sony WI-XB400 and they were ok but lost connection often and they were super long. It looks like the Veats and all the others that clip together are also really long.

5 isn't an option and I'm use to audiophile purchases and hearing the color of sound, but realize how the supply chain works today and manufacturing that for the purpose they would do the trick and if I feel I need headphone's to play records or a physical media medium vs. UDP (best effort) streaming where packets are going missing with wireless to bluetooth and all the network hops before it, well then I'll just hook the turn tables up and order whatever vinyl or get a dedicated device for it, but chances are I'll stick to the home theater setup and speakers I had to drive to pick up where voice coils and speakers were still handmade for under 50k each. Since I don't know if the ANC really works better as I haven't found a reason to upgrade and compare and the only issue I have with these is that on calls I sometime forget that the wire has the mic on it and or service might be a bit light down here that I'll have to turn them off and then your normal bluetooth pairing to the proper device and crowded unlicensed spectrum interference that I can't really blame Sony for what I've consulted clients on for a decade+ about with wireless speakers and other products when they say they want a setup that sounds better then mine until they'd have to actually spend the $ and not know what for as they don't appreciate the audio as I once did, but rarely find the time or content these days to be concerned with it along with the fact that networks drop packets and streaming via UDP not TCP is designed to handle dropped packets mixed with the fact that I realized the picture looks fake to me on certain displays at times, but that is because it is, since most is designed with digital tools and is just me being the old fart that one would argue on message boards that digital w/o the static in a lossless format is the best medium where the old timers would say vinyl and not let it go, but until I understood what the color of sound really was when listening to vinyl I had to search the globe for much of it and risk buying a used piece to get the 90's grunge or numetal I think it is referred to as today in a world of mostly rap and poorly mastered dubstep at one point where a mixtape CD ruined the competition car audio as the track was so distorted that lovely smell came, but the kill switch saved 1 sub which only from SPL and the smell that comes with fried electronics did I know to kill it, but had to be sure later and it was and fried the rest =/ Battery life on these seems more then suitable for the day, keep your ears clean and remember that others are around you and moving objects for some of you and these do the job just fine, sleeping in them might not always be the most comfortable, but I usually wake up drool down my face and someone yelling as I have my face smashed in the pillow when I sleep well, even though I'm not sure how I breath and sleep that way, plus w/o the cord I'm not sure I'd be able to those small ear buds out if I used it and had to grab it with scratching it with something if pushed to far in, for those of you heavy sleepers once you are asleep. If they break I'll update this otherwise 4

Sound good and do the job for playing music and making calls wo the phone in hand all the time. Purchased to try help focus while working from home and not be distracted as easily along with being a big time Sony product owner (think back to the walkman no not the CD one but the cassest sports one) for both home audio and video among other things as they still work and provided great picture quality for the CRT's way back then. Wasn't expecting much as they are sort of wireless and for the price under $30 at the time, but was pleasantly surprised and knew I lose headsets rather often so getting the Plantronics's for my desk could wait to see if I even ended up using these. The only thing to be aware of (they don't make the claim and for the price and Brand loyalty I went w/o the ANC and charging case that the ear buds usually come with)

I bought this to replace my SBH70 that I loved for years but needed something with plugs to stop outside noise. The sound is great and battery lasts me at least ten hours a charge. The length of the wires is perfect for the earbuds to sit inside of a chest pocket when bot in use. Buttons are fairly easy to use while wearing gloves

Excellent headset for music

 Overall the fit and finish is fine apart from one major flaw. That is when this earphone is around my neck, if only one bud is in my ear, the other one's weight will pull it towards it. This wasn't happening on the bullet's wireless as the band had gripped rubber to avoid sliding. Apart from that, I have no complaints

 And it gets pretty loud and there is no buzz on the higher volume levels. So this is a solid earphone if you're looking for something which has good sound quality. Moving on to its connectivity, it has a very wide range when it comes to connectivity, but the problem is the pairing process.
