 Another keyboard, if you want to plug it in your computer, of course, you can buy a pretty inexpensive, USB MIDI interface to connect, and you know Bob's your uncle. You can do whatever you need to do with your computer, but we've got onboard 30 arm. High quality sounds, and we've got a nice pallet of sounds to choose from we've got six different acoustic pianos. That was number one we'll go through just go through and show you a couple of the other sounds

 It actually seeks as well [ Music ]. So that's three in the first setting there's the UPA piano, so three different versions in there as well: [ Music ]. So you know they're really good, and I mean in in this type of piano again it's portable great action, there's thirty sound! So there's not a truckload of sounds, but there's enough to you know to do a simple gig with and, of course, with the proper MIDI connections you can just directly plug in external additional equipment, other keyboards another keyboard. On top you know the sky's the limit

 Considering you've got the absolute top class action in this piano, so what have we got? Well, we've got a portable piano. As we've discussed, we've got traditional stereo left and right outputs. Korg D1 Digital Piano | Better Music

Difficult review, this, because it's in two parts.  The piano is fine. Decent action, Korg's best, there are better, but they come at a price - if you have the money, consider the Roland FP-90, that's lovely. But, excellent piano for the money, and a great idea - strip back to the essentials, and make those essentials as good as they can be

 Also no manual, which suggests to me it was a return in the first place.  That was replaced with another, which had also been dropped in transit, though appears to have survived intact.  Review in short: I'd buy the piano, but I'd spend a few more quid and buy it from someone who understands that you can't drop pianos and get away with it.  I would note that Elijah who handled my complaint at Amazon did so in exemplary fashion and is a credit to company

In your position if you're a gigging pro playing predominantly piano sounds and need a really good action, tone and response I'd aim for RD-2000 (don't be afraid to get a pre-owned or ex-demo model to save some cash). That'll give you the V-Piano modelling engine, as well as hundreds of other useful sounds, plus real wood keys.

Alright, maybe one day I will be educated enough in the field to make these sorts of decisions for myself, but currently, I've no doubt someone out there will have a better-informed suggestion here.

I am officially a professional keyboardist for a busy wedding band, and am very new to the world of gear shopping on a pro level. I recently thought I had damaged my Yamaha p115 DP, so after research of options within the budget, the **RD88** stood out as the most bang-for-the-buck option under $2000.

I show up at Guitar Center to test and purchase one, and right beside it is a **JUNO-DS88** on sale for slightly less money. I played the two side-by-side, and perhaps based solely on the onboard speakers vs the amplified sound of the former vs the latter, I made a spot-on mind-change and bought the JUNO instead. 

Ever since then, I have been feeling a sort of buyer's regret, given that it's become clear that, despite the JUNO's wonderful capabilities, it is definitely a different class (synthesizer) of instrument than the P115 (digital piano), which I have since fixed and is in perfect working order again.

MY QUESTION, after all this, is: should I return my JUNO and get the RD88 instead? Is that just the more clearly superior instrument for a gigging professional? I do compose and am in another band as well, yet all the synthesis I need I can handle on a DAW and with my **JD-Xi**, which I already bring with me to all gigs as well. What would ***YOU*** do, more experienced player?

HELP A NEW PROFESSIONAL CHOOSE?!

 Now that's really cool because that sound is. You know that's part of Roland's history school. Whitney Houston Records, you know just it's a such a cool vibe and a great sound. Now of course with the Supernatural Acoustic Sound Engine and the Supernatural Electric Piano Sound engine, we also have of course all of the meat-and-potato sounds

 Incredible sounding instrument. It has all of the pianos, all the electric pianos, all of the sounds that you really need. incredible internal sounds, but also an amazing control ability to go out and control all of your external sounds from mainstage or from all your VST instruments. It just really is everything that you need

 Add a button push away in addition to the output so you can easily set up. Oh maybe in this one program or this one scene, you just have output coming from the Rd and then you quickly change to another scene and the output is only coming from mainstage, so that is very, very cool. So it just really steps up the Rd to be an incredibly professional instrument you know. Great for the stage, great for controlling very complex setups

 Now there's one thing that I really want you to understand and that is that the RT Mm is sporting two different types of new types of sound engines. Okay, we have the Supernatural Piano Engine so that's brand-new and we also have the Supernatural Electric Piano Sound Engine. So we got some of the most amazing electric pianos in here, as well as incredible acoustic pianos. Now you heard this electric piano

Roland RD-2000 - Demo with Scott Tibbs

 Ive had a Motif 8, Triton Pro X 88, and most recently the Yamaha KX-8 (got it used for like 300 like 10 years ago). I was going to splurge and get an expensive keyboard, for the "feel". I was eying the RD-2000, Korg Grandstage, Roland FP-90X, Nord Piano 4 etc. I thought I was going to have to pay at minimum around 2000 to get into the nice keybed space (PHA-50, RH3 etc)

This is my dream come true (a top-line keybed for lowest price possible). The oboard sounds are pretty ass, but I dont use on-board sounds, dont sequence on the keyboard, dont need a built in audio/midi-usb device, dont need "bluetooth" connections, dont need onboard speakers, etc. Just give me the nice 88-key keybed with a midi out, and I am golden. I cant believe this is real

 And was it worth it. I have an A-88 which is a great controller for the money, but when this thing got here and I slowly opened the box seeing it was suppose to have a pretty good size dent in it I held my breath until it came out of the box. Then it hit me. There was one problem

I can't believe I am writing this review because there was no way I could afford this Rig at this time. But when MF show it listed as a Scratch & Dent Stage 3 with a thousand off list price it was worth the gamble. And was it worth it. I have an A-88 which is a great controller for the money, but when this thing got here and I slowly opened the box seeing it was suppose to have a pretty good size dent in it I held my breath until it came out of the box
