 If I turn off string resonance here and I hold this key down, check this out: Dies String Residence On and that's doing that polyphonically, So I pretty much always leave string resonance on because it makes it sound a lot more realistic to me. The other one is soft release in the intro. Again, I had that because I felt like on these passages here. Uh, so I have both on [Music] I wanted it to be a soft release when I came off

 First impressions are that it has a beautiful design.

 Nord keyboards are instantly recognizable with their color design and wood features,

 but don't be mistaken to think this is anything like its predecessors.

 The Nord Piano range has come a long way, and this piano series is equipped with dual piano engines, dual sample synths and twice the memory of the previous generation.

 So, the Nord Piano 5 features a premium weighted keybed with advanced triple sensors that capture the movements of the hammers.

 This is meant to deliver a smooth, natural feel of a real piano. And just a quick note that the same weighted hammer action is also included in the 73 note model, which wasn't a feature before.

 So the action, in my view, is absolutely stunning. The addition of the triple action sensors allows you to perform any style of pieces with all dynamics, whilst having incredible samples of beautifully recorded pianos at your disposal.

 The Nord Piano and sample synth sections of the Nord Piano 5 each contain two independent layers. The two piano and two sample synths can be used simultaneously in a variety of split or layer configurations.

 You can combine this with the effects routing to create a classic ensemble setting to rich soundscapes.

 The LED equipped level controls allow for quick balancing of all layer volume levels. Also, a volume pedal and sustain pedal can be assigned to each layer.
