Kobo sells overpriced, defective products. I own a now useless Kobo Elipsa (the $400 model) whose screen just broke simply by the devise falling over and the screen hitting the plastic stylus, which was flat on a carpet. I tried calling Kobo for a repair/replacement, and you can't even reach them by phone. I used the text communication, and they wouldn't do anything to repair/replace - offered me ten bucks off a new model!!! If you buy from this place, consider yourself warned

 And you also get a charging cable to charge it back up, it is of course micro USB, not the new Type-C reversible but no biggie. And that's your whack, nice and straight forward. There is the Kobo Forma in all of it's glory, it's actually the largest Kobo to date but it's also one of the lightest efforts as well, it is pleasantly light, less than 200 grams just under, so it's 197. It's got this lovely, as you can see there, ergonomic curved design as well so it's actually weighted more towards this side here

 As you can see there you can then sort by bestsellers or most popular or what's new as well, if you do a lot of reading you just want to see what's hit the stores recently. The good thing about the Kobo store these days as well is you can generally find a lot of books around that sort of £1 or £2 price point whereas before it used to be a lot more expensive than that, generally more expensive than the Kindle store. Let's just do a random search for an author, let's see, I don't know, maybe Chris Baracliff, let's see what this fella's doing. Oh look, lots of interesting looking books here, let's try this one here, Dead Dogs, that sounds good

 So let's move on to talking about some of the e-reading features now. So the Kobo Forma is actually the first Kobo that supports landscape mode. And it does it well because if you wanted to use large font sizes, for instance, this is the device to get because you get a lot more words on the page here in landscape mode than you do like a typical six inch e-reader. So you don't have to page forward so much

 It's nice and lightweight for its size. Still not 100% sold on this weird design like getting the Kindle Oasis, having the buttons on the side. I think I'd just rather have them at the bottom personally. But I mean, it is a nice device

 So here's a quick look comparing it to the 6 inch Kobo Clear HD to get an idea of the size difference so you get a lot more text on the screen with the 8 inch eReader. And it's not a whole lot heavier since they're using the plastic based screen. It's still under 200 grams. So here's a quick look at it next to the Kobo Aura 1 just to see the difference in the shape, how much wider it is

 After a week of remaining frozen I am returning the Forma to Walmart and ordering the Aura One Limited Edition from Kobo. I also don't like that it won't fit in the back pocket of my jeans. The Aura One did.
