Initially wanted a Bosch, but the sale and added warranty on the KitchenAid were too good to pass up.

Our old bucket of bolts Kenmore broke, and we've been gifted $1100 to go get a new one.

Unfortunately reality caught up with me that every dishwasher brand has some fatal flaw, but Bosch and Miele seem the overall "best" in terms of reliability, and doing.. dishwashing. Kitchen Aid, GE, and Samsung seem a pick your poison situation.

And the cherry on top is our local Home Depot, Lowe's, and Best Buy won't have any Bosch's in until March 2022.

 Any alternatives? are the others *really* that bad? In the U.S.

EDIT: Kept checking at home depot and they had a Bosch 500 series in the warehouse, coming in a week. I can finally sleep well at night awaiting my dishwasher knowing the day of hand cramps are over.

 I'M going to be doing a product review on this kitchenaid dishwasher here model number is kdtm 404 kps ps is going to stand for print shield, so basically what that means. Obviously, you can see my fingers smudging on this appliance, but basically, all that you need to get rid of this is just water and cloth. Usually, if you uh get anything, that's the stainless steel and you don't if you did, that it would smudge even more. So that's what it means by print shield doesn't mean that it's not going to reveal any prints, but basically it's easy, clean up and you can get rid of that super easy

 The main downside is that it doesn’t do a great job washing the dishes. I still have to almost completely clean the dishes to put them in or they’re not clean when they come out. It also only fits 2/3 the amount of dishes I could fit in my old dishwasher. The WiFi function is of no value to me

Middle of the road but don’t recommend overall

 I’m very happy with the quality of the machine the way it’s built, but the effectiveness of the way it cleans we hand wash and dry everything. This machine gets everything cleaner than handwashing, we still can’t believe our eyes. Yes the cycles take a long time but that is more for energy efficiency and the end result is worth the extra time. I would buy this over and over again now that I know how well it works

We have hard water in fact very hard water and the manual gives instructions on how to compensate with detergent or hard water the end result our dishes look like they were washed with a water softener and an excellent dishwasher. I highly recommend this product

UNBELIEVABLE!

Waste of money! Doesn't dry the dishes! Had it installed Sept. 28th and only used 5 times because it doesn't dry the dishes. Suppose to be energy efficient but it takes  3+ hours to wash dishes on a normal cycle and then the fan runs intermittingly for another 2-3 hours and I still have to dry the dishes when it's done. Had a repair service come and check it

The warranty should cover but every time I call them they are trying to find a repairer to come and fix and no one is found in my area. I have a feeling I live in Mars

It got damaged from own steaming temperature

  Also the dishwasher stinks after two days because it never, ever dries. Extremely dissapointed. We purchased their LG oven but have heard they usually go out after a year or so. We canceled out LF Fridge as we are not sure if we will replace the dishwasher and oven amd go with a different brand

We have this installed about 2 months. When the installer came he said “you couldn’t have purchased a worst dishwasher” and sadly he was correct. We purchased the LG dishwasher because we loved the look of their black stainless but it all ends there.It washes OK but will not dry no matter what we try

Worst Dishwasher

Have had this dishwasher for over a month now and am so disappointed. It has to be the noisiest dishwasher I’ve ever owned, including old-school dishwashers. The center rack will not stay open, keeps sliding back in. The adjustable part of the top rack won’t stay locked in place

Expensive mistake

Great design. It's quiet and serves it's primary function well. It cleans the dishes. 

Very nice dishwasher. Easy to load because the rack system is so well thought out. All kinds of adjustable and the tines fold down.

Best rack system and it sure is quiet.
