Ease Of Use

Purchase: Effortless order via Costco.com and used their concierge service to install. It was delivered and installed without issue.

Very Nice Dishwasher, Quiet Too!

While it seems somewhat small, you can get a lot on it. The operating panel is well laid out and pretty simple to use, once you power the dishwasher on you have several choices to run custom washes or simple select automatic, the dishwasher will figure how dirty and long to run. Maintenance also seems pretty simple, the inside cabinet filter is removable for cleaning, simply wash in the sink and reinstall. This dishwasher also comes with LG's ThinQ (WiFi), you can download LG's ThinQ app and set it up on your cell phone, there, you can custom set your wash cycle and it will let you know when the cycle is over, pretty handy

Cost

Costco's Installation Service is Dismal

If you decide to wait on hold (I eventually had to do that in order to speak to someone), you may wait over two hours WHICH IS WHAT I HAD TO DO. I was emailed a delivery time range but the maximum provided proved half the real wait. And in the end, after being promised by three different Costco appliance people that my order included installation or I could get someone to do it for me and Costco would reimburse me, Costco only paid $150 which was well short of the actual installation cost.

Cleans well, but I wouldn't buy again

Overall this dishwasher which cost about 25% more than my prior LG dishwasher, but is louder, with less options, and the components feel cheaper. We replaced our prior LG dishwasher with this one because we thought it was the newer model of the prior one that had been discontinued. And the only reason I was able to convince my husband to buy another LG (after a nightmare warranty issue that lasted 11 months with LG - thank you Costco for honoring their warranty!) was because black stainless is not an industry standard color across brands and I wanted my full kitchen to match. Well, this black stainless was different than the prior LG black stainless

Warranty

Was happy for first 9 months

Got a warranty repair visit - the theory is that a part is going bad related to the drain.

Very disappointed

No problem it says motor covered for 10 years. Called support and after a month and 1/2 of runaround they denied warranty as outside 2 years. LG’s quality has errored over time and customer service is very disappointing.

Noise Levels

Buyer beware of "normal" noise!

AND there is a completely abnormal sound issue with this model that the manufacturer deems "normal": the Diverter & Stem sleeve make a grinding/scraping noise at what I consider to be unacceptable noise levels. The mechanic came to fix it and basically said "yep, most kitchen aid units have this problem which the manufacturer says is "normal"".

I absolutely DESPISE this dishwasher. You can hear it running anywhere in the house because it vibrates and buzzes like crazy. It doesn’t even do a decent job of cleaning and it already sounds like it’s broken, not even a month after owning it. Do not recommend at all
