The knife is reasonable condition and seems to be decent quality but I look to buy American. This stated in the description that it was USA made. I was disappointed to see "made in China" on the package upon arrival. In reading details on another Kershaw knife it pointed out its origin, so I was careful to buy an American version

 For the price the knife seems to be a reasonable buy. We'll see how well it holds up. I will be heading to Cape Hatteras soon to give it a try. If it doesn't hold up I'll edit this review

 Don’t get me wrong this is a good blade. I primarily use it to cut out the belly bones and skinning fillets. And for this it shines. If you use it to cut through bones or thick skin just make sure you have a steel to touch up the blade

I purchased this as a replacement for a wood handled fillet knife that I lost along with my tackle box. My expectations were low due to the low price of this product. I was pleasantly surprised by the sharpness and durability of the knife. It could stand to have a bit more flex in the blade, hence the 4 star rating instead of the 5, but other than that it has performed well for 2 seasons of fishing both salt and fresh water

 Small trout scales that stick to everything rinse right off. The handle a grey and charcoal laminate is very attractive. Even more so in hand. Full tang construction is a big plus

I've used Rapala knives for many years and the biggest thing I didn't like about this one is TOO MUCH give in the blade. My preference its a fairly stiff blade and this one definitely is not!
