Kershaw 7.5" Narrow Fillet Fishing Knife 1247X

You get what you pay for, expect a cheap-ish knife. The edge dulls quick, and even chipped on some bones while cutting meat. Not much use with it, and there’s 2 little chunks of the edge that look folded over or chipped off. Maybe just stick to filleting easy pieces of fish or something.

Bought this knife right before a camping trip to the beach. Caught a red fish in the surf and went to fillet it. Worst fillet knife I’ve ever purchased, not sharp at all.

Good knife, nice length, bought to clean fish (catfish, crappie, etc.). Holds an edge pretty well, I sharpen between uses.

I discovered I prefer a knife the has a narrow kerf and is slightly flexible . A reviewer said this became his go-to knife in the kitchen, that was enough to tempt me to buy it, especially since it isn't expensive. For the present it's also my most used knife in the kitchen.

I've owned many Kershaw products over the years. My EDC pocket knives are a rotation of Kershaws... Was very disappointed when I opened the package to find a very warped/bent blade. This was a value-priced knife but I expected more.

Dull, so dull I had to use my axe to clean my fish. I expect to buy a knife and have it hold an edge for at least 30 days. If I could get my money back I would. Huge bummer, some of my best knives are kershaw.

Arrived with a dent - right in the middle of the edge. I think Kershaw is a good value, but I am disappointed that this knife had a defect from the mfg.
