The Kammok Firebelly is a versatile all-star. It's great enough as a regular blanket: it has generous dimensions with a high loft while maintaining its compressibility. However, it's all of the other modes that take this blanket to the next level. The bottom can be snapped and cinched closed to create a cozy foot box for keeping warm while sitting around a fire. A full set of snaps on each side can also convert this blanket into a full-on camping quilt when paired with the included sleeping pad straps. It triples as a hammock underquilt and quadruples as a poncho with a zipper opening in the middle of the blanket. As a bonus, it also comes with a watertight stuff sack and a large long-term storage sack.
For an otherwise exceptional blanket, there are just a couple of characteristics that we wish were different. The inner liner is the same ripstop nylon as the rest of the exterior. It's soft but not exceptionally comfortable; it can get pretty sticky against bare skin. These excellent features come at a premium price, so this quilt is for those who know it will benefit from its versatility. Having said that, the Kammock Firebelly is one of our absolute favorites as a basic blanket and a multi-purpose insulator.

I’m trying to prepare for my first overnight hang in my new Mantis and am looking at top quilts. Which one would you recommend? I have their Firebelly for use as an underquilt. I’m not sure if I should go for the Field Blanket, Mountain Blanket, or a Bobcat or another Firebelly. I don’t plan on camping in Winter conditions. TIA!

So first I want to say that you guys have seen me and Missy testing things, but on these we wanted to go a bit further because the down quilts a very expensive purchase so we wanted a little more input than just us because we know what works for us. That doesn't mean it's going to work for everybody. So if you've been watching these girl trips, you've seen that my daughter Tory has been going along with Missy and she's a super cold sleeper especially her feet and at every trip I made it a point to ask her exactly what she thought or how cold she got and I would get input from her I would get input from Missy I would put in my own input before we brought this video to you

Paria Thermodown 15 Down Sleeping Quilt

With my x therm pad I took this quilt down to 20 degrees in my t shirt and boxers and kicked my socks off around 2am. Slept great. Its my go to quilt now I prefer the extra weight for a good nights sleep. Cons I sewed on a baffle by the zipper as that is very annoying with bare legs So far so good I will check back on durability and quality after winter really gets going Cheers from the Great White North

Pros Great quilt for the money

 These snaps also provided for the attachment points to the included pad strap system that again, I probably won’t use. However, it’s nice that Paria provided that option as is the included mesh storage bag along with a separate compression sack. Use the compression sack to save space on the trip and store the quilt in the less compressed state for good ventilation and protection. When I received the quilt, I followed the instructions to air fluff it in a dryer on its lowest temperature

 The quilt has snaps along its side at measured points that give the user an optional “bag” type encloser and I could feel them at times under me. Not a big deal but I may simply trim these off because I don’t see myself using it that way. These snaps also provided for the attachment points to the included pad strap system that again, I probably won’t use. However, it’s nice that Paria provided that option as is the included mesh storage bag along with a separate compression sack

Warm,Good Quality and Great Value!

 It's very warm, lofts up nice, and is great for hammock camping. It's a little heavier than comparable products from vendors like Hammock Gear, but performs very very well. If they made a 40 degree quilt, I'd give it a serious look for camping in warmer weather. Right now, they have a 30 on the market, but it's only about $10 less than the 15, so that pricing doesn't really make a lot of sense to me

 This will help keep everything organized (and I don't use a pad when hammock camping, but will when in a tent ... I'm probably not unique in that)

  Shipping was quick. I purchased it for Prime 2-day delivery yesterday and received it today. Looks like it shipped out of Fort Worth, TX, and I'm in a suburb of Dallas, so it got here really fast.  Initial observations are positive

Paria Thermodown 15 Down Sleeping Quilt - Regular (Unboxing)

 It also fits perfectly in the sleeping bag compartment of my 62L backpack. The price is great. This quilt is about half the price of other quilts that I looked at. Without a doubt, this is one of the best pieces of gear that I have purchased
