First Impressions of the Jabra Elite Active 75t

I can't wait until I get to go on a 12-14 hour plane ride and not have my ears ache. * Buttons can be painful to press -- feels like you're jamming the buds into your ear. Active 75t: Seems that it's a bit easier to press but I still have this issue. * Base seems to be lacking but you can modify it via the music equalizer in the app

Which is shortened by the "high performance mode" honestly I don't notice the difference in sound, I think it's mainly for reducing delay, I've only owned mine for about a day and have been listening to music in the kitchen with them, if I'd been watching a movie I'd probably use this mode. They don't offer much other functionality, you can use your voice assistant and manage calls, but I don't need these features. I personally appreciate the simplicity. You'll notice no touch controls, I love this, my original sony WF earbuds, galaxy buds+, wh-1000xm3s, all had them and I would accidentally hit them all the time, I much prefer the button

Battery Life

Not as great as I expected

I didn’t notice a change with ANC on but hear-through is effective. The battery lasts a while. My ears start to ache after a few hours so I don’t ever have them in long enough to drain the battery. The case is sturdy and the material coating the buds and case feels soft and sleek

If all you care about is getting a basic set of earbuds that work consistently and sound good in the process, you can save a heaping of cash and go with Sony’s basic buds. Sometimes less is more — unless you want noise cancellation or other features that demand a higher price. It’s fair to have some pause and consider what you’re giving up, but if you can snag the C500s on sale (at press time they’re as low as $68), they’re far from the worst impulse buy you’ll ever make
