Sony WF C500

Which is shortened by the "high performance mode" honestly I don't notice the difference in sound, I think it's mainly for reducing delay, I've only owned mine for about a day and have been listening to music in the kitchen with them, if I'd been watching a movie I'd probably use this mode. They don't offer much other functionality, you can use your voice assistant and manage calls, but I don't need these features. I personally appreciate the simplicity. You'll notice no touch controls, I love this, my original sony WF earbuds, galaxy buds+, wh-1000xm3s, all had them and I would accidentally hit them all the time, I much prefer the button.

They’re also more compact and stylish than the oddball WF-XB700s that preceded them while maintaining a great in-ear fit. If all you care about is getting a basic set of earbuds that work consistently and sound good in the process, you can save a heaping of cash and go with Sony’s basic buds. Sometimes less is more — unless you want noise cancellation or other features that demand a higher price

Maybe Sony used DSP to fix the tonal balance on those too, or maybe the hardware is just flawed somehow. It's kind of hard to believe that major manufacturers can't get around loud hiss noises in their flagship products when people in the audio world obsess over SNR in the -100dB range - or the barely audible differences between DACs and amplifiers. Anyways, the WF-C500 sounds pretty good and has a good battery life, would recommend to people not interested in extreme noise cancelling.

Jabra's earphones offer better durability for heavy exercise, while Anker's active noise cancellation is the best we've heard under $100. The bass is solid on these, as good as any true wireless I have heard, definitely better than airpods pro. I have not used the sony WF, but most say it is a more neutral tuning that the WH series.

I bought the Sony wf c500, but I had to return them because they had some annoying white noise which ruined everything. I want to be able to listen at low volume at night, and the white noise was just as loud as the music.
